All of the above for sure. Very easy to imagine the layout being bent, straightened, or even being turned into a full double-out-and-back. Totally think we could see modifications to better fit or even use terrain wherever it's rebuilt too.

To open your big can of worms even wider... if there's 40ft of terrain difference over the course of the layout and the far turnaround near the end of the ride is the low point (making the initial out-and-back portion the higher area I believe), there could be potential to increase AF1's drop height... 👀

I sympathize with folks who think KI is deserving of something more than a relocation from an FEC (even when that coaster is #7 in the world), but if we're looking at a modified, plussed AF1... I start to become far more interested in it possibly heading to a major park like KI.

I hadn't thought of that. When we talk about modifying it for the terrain.... yes, suddenly things become much more interesting. Maybe it could be reworked to more properly squeeze into the old Vortex plot!

It's cool if they are able to adjust that 90 degree bend or the turnaround, but if we aren't keeping the primary elements the same, "we relocated AF1!" becomes "we sold its corpse as parts for a new ride!" more or less. Which is fine but not really the outcome most people expect.

If they gotta change the support structure and the orientation to fit it on a different plot of land then I say go ahead of course.

If it doesn't get renamed, and moves to a park not owned by John Aire, that would be one of the silliest things I've ever heard of in the amusement park industry. If he somehow put a "no renaming" clause in the sales contract, he's almost as egotistical and narcissistic as a certain someone who shall not be named who also rides on something with a similar name.

He had thrown out the idea by asking people if they wanted it as a term during the final ride event and it was overwhelming supported by the crowd. That doesn't mean that he actually proposed it or that it was accepted.

There is something to say for name recognition and draw. Face it thete is going to be a segment of the population that will have seen the buzz created over the last two months that might not connect the ride with a new name. If that is a big enough segment to justify it staying is another question. But on top of that lets not forget that the ride was named for John Arie Sr who pasted away during construction of the ride not Jr who now runs the company and was selling the coaster. I can certainly see him wanting that memorial to continue even if I can also understand why a future owner might want to change the name.

Where are all of these rumors about Kings Island coming from?
 
Quick thoughts. Just got off a 12 hour shift so typing this sleep deprived.

"Enhancements" could mean anything from structural adjustments to accommodate the terrain to mild footprint modifications. That means that Google Earth CopyPaste may be a wild card.

Keeping the name is stupid, parks with more individualistic managements will say no and regional context is required. Therefore I say under these conditions it likely doesn't go to Canada's Wonderland and Kings Island. Sorry. It might fit in at CW as a ride only, at KI absolutely not.

Any park with an RMC Hybrid is probably already off the table. That's quite many, really. It'd be really funny to be proven wrong here though, like at KD.

Darien Lake and Frontier City are nice ideas, but there's an extra layer of politics as Six Flags would likely demand EPR Properties to pay for the assets, and who knows how long they'll be operating them anyhow.

My top contenders come down to Dorney and Carowinds. They're good corporate players, their CAPEX timeline for 2028/29 is wide open, and the coaster would fit snugly in the lineup and attendances of each. And they each seem to have a rough space open currently.

Yeah the name thing is really unfortunate, I would’ve much rather seen this get a unique story and theme like a lot of the other recent Six Flags/legacy CF coasters have, and if I’m being honest I just don’t think Arieforce One is a good name.

I also think it’s really interesting they bought and announced this with seemingly no concrete plan for the coaster. Don’t know what park it’s going to or what year it’s opening, don’t think I’ve ever seen a chain announce something like that.
