They’re there for insurance purposes. Taron doesn’t have one. It’s literally just about how much liability the park is willing to take on. No clearances are close enough for me to hit my hand/head with the 2-3 inch difference my arms and torso have over the average person. The only safety issue is potential whiplash, but there are plenty of people under the height limit whose heads poke above the seat. Trust me I’ve done my research on this lol. The buck stops with the parks and the policies change all the time.
I believe you’re wrong. Take water slides for example, they all have height/weight limits that are set by the manufacturer after they’ve tested the slide. Most waterslides now have scales at the top of the slide so each guest can be weighed individually and if it applies, can be weighed together. Most new slides have also started coming with scales included in the original purchase from the manufacturer, and in the SOP from the manufacturer it specifically states that each guest should be weighed individually and as a group.

I know for a fact I’m not wrong, because different parks enforce to different extents. They all have to ADVERTISE the max height limit, but enforcement is different. Universal even haggled with Intamin to not have to post it on the website/ride safety information for velocicoaster. Like I said I’m done w this conversation bc it’s off topic. I just hope BGW loosens up or lets me sign a liability waiver or something. Three straight new coasters I can’t ride. In my eyes BGW hasn’t added a new coaster since InvadR lmao

I don’t think this topic is off topic at all, and I totally understand where you’re coming from, I’d be frustrated too. I’m just saying Busch has very little wiggle room with it now that the ride is open and they’ve already entered into a contract with Intamin for the ride.

1 Train ops tday. This ride feels fucking awful to wait for with 1 train. With the super strick loose article policy, to the most un forgiving restrains possible making atleast 1 to 2 people require pushing/getting off. The dispatch times are terrible. Maybe something is wrong with the other train but I highly doubt it. A station wait shouldn't take 30min. Insanity

I was there on Saturday when it went down. We were literally on the train with restraints locked when they made us get off. They moved one train to the storage/maintenance area and then it looked like they were trying to fix a sensor or something on the track at the station. We didn't stick around to see what exactly it was, but there were 2 maintenance guys with tool belts. One guy, I think Ted, was perplexed when looking at the controls and whatever error lit up before they moved the train. 2 train ops before it went down, was actually pretty good, it took us maybe 40 ish minutes to get from the end of the straight away under the track to the front of the line.

I doubt they would extend the ride, but I do wish they would for this or Pantheon. I find most of the coasters at the park just too short. Cheetah hunt IMO is a nice ride length. Fixing the theming would be nice. I never got to see it in the full original state.
As much as pantheon is on 1 train ops and shit dispatch times, please dont lengthen the layout

A park's flagship coasters should never be relegated to a single train.
Remember a time when only a single train available would mean the ride would be shut down for the day...

That would probably be the one thing they could realistically add....another switch track for another train. The queue is pretty pinned in by the site unfortunately, and theming would be hard to show a positive gain (while needed) but in that big turn around next to maint...probably could fit another siding....but push a lot more riders, but still dollars.

Slowest crew I’ve ever seen on Pantheon today in the 3 years it’s been open. 4-5+ minute dispatches easily. Also height checked a 6’3 guest that apparently had ridden it dozens of times and stopped him from riding despite the cutoff point clearly being just in his hair. The line doubled in length during that sequence.

Someone needs to pressure Kevin in one of his many town halls, about the slow operations.

He proudly presents his corporate coworkers that have worked at BGW for 30+years. Guarantee none are ride operators, they all work in the office.

I can’t overlook the unmotivated ride opps. I was an opp at BGW 20 years ago and loved it. They need to show their staff they care about them.

Is it to much complaining to be a local and almost skip this ride unless its a walk on when I visit due to these horrendous operations? what should be a 10min line turns into a 30min nightmare watching train after train of 2 and 3min dispatches because of either too large of guests who can't use the damn test seat, or the cluster fuck of people boarding and offloading grabbing/throwing their shit in the baskets that are pretty far away from the traiN, and the line of fast pass people standing all over the exit also making even more people to move around. Why the fucks this ride not have a dedicated fast lane lmao, and the exit gates are all the way to the right vs just in the middle. The station is so badly designed. Not to mention entering the station after the stairs people can't spread out more. Theresa front row only line that really means nothing because it doesn't even lead to the front row, and to the mega dumb loose article policy that makes people sit and then get back up to put the small stuff left in their pockets.

Why can't they just adapt to cedar fair and let zippers or button pockets be ok? Or do a Timbers and provide small free lockers and metal detector. Sure it slows the line up a little but atleast the dispatches would be a lot quicker.

this poor coaster! Is only one train being ran? The ride is amazing but the station, queue and landscaping are so….. 🤦🏻 I am surprised that no planting has been done in the field area and I am not sure how well the plants that were planted are doing; the ones in the line looked pretty 👎🏻 I just hope that with all the praise BBW is getting about the details… they can throw some love to this

Was it down to 1 train today?

too large of guests who can't use the damn test seat

The test seat is inaccurate and the restraint sensors vary considerably due, in large part, to the disparate give in the restraints.

Per an Intamin rep, if the restraint clears in the resting position, it's good to go. Despite this, BGW insists on training their employees to yank aggressively on the restraints and, if they can get it to flash red, then they boot the rider.

You can't blame the riders for the restraints being inconsistent and the park's policies being asinine.
