I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED

Has anyone noticed that since Seaworld parks and entertainment has been purchased by SEA there has not been one B&M built. Now I know it is a small amount of time since we have been purchased, but they have built three new rollercoasters since, and they haven't been B&M. Now I think that they don't want to build anymore B&M for us at least because we aren't their main parks. Now this is my only opinion, but I have a feeling that they won't want to pay for a B&M again. Let's hope not because I like B&M coasters. However I do think that Manta at SeaWorld Orlando could pass as a Disney type of themed coaster. Even though AB built it. Of course that's if Disney was a sea themed park.

I will assume you meant since they have been bought out by Blackstone....
Either way, They spent over $50mil on Vbolt, I don't think it's a matter of them not wanting "to pay" for a B&M, i'd assume they just don't have anything the park was/is interested in. It seems the new interest company wide is launch coasters, which B&M doesn't /really/ make.

Yeah deffinately not them not wanting to pay for it, kings dominion spent $50 million over a 3 year span including i305 and windseeker. BG spent $54 million on verbolten in just 1 season, which was well worth it. I would LOVE to see a wooden roller coaster built behind where EiTA is now, one like outlaw run though

I don't think it's that they don't want to pay for another B&M, they are just trying to expand their genre of coasters. SWP&E parks extremely lack launch coasters and have a surplus of B&M coasters. With different types of coasters you can draw more people; the people who like B&M's, the people who like launches, the people who like Arrows, etc.

Launch coasters typically cost more anyways. So it's not a matter of not wanting to pay.

The idea of the woodie behind EitA is my personal favorite. That's a sneaky location for a coaster, plus I feel like BGW needs to spruce up the England/Ireland part of the park. You could probably get a fantastic view of it from the new deck they're building.

OOOOOOO! I love this idea. That is the place behind EITA this place has a small river that goes under the England parking lot bridge. Also this small "river" goes under the Ireland Bridge. It would be a great idea to make the coaster run through this terrain. However, I don't want a woodie, I would prefer something like a launch coaster, that is kinda made like Cheetah Hunt. For those of you who haven't been on cheetah hunt yet I love it, and this coaster is basically the only one that uses the terrain in BGT. Because all of the other coasters here have basically torn down everything in its path. Yea but I think this would be a great site to see as people come into the park and check their passes. I hope BGW takes this idea into consideration....:)

No thanks!

I rode Cheetah Hunt last month for the first time and the ride wasn't that great. It's a decent ride but it's not something BGW needs especially after recently opening Verbolten.

A Gravity Group or Rocky Mountain coaster would be a better fit!

^ I don't think even if you want them to they are not gonna build a wooden coaster out of all the coasters in SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment there is one Gwazi in BGT..... So face the facts.....:p

Hard to imagine the park ever building a wooden coaster. But a steel coaster with a wooden superstructure? ...Maybe, as that should be a very different beast from a wood coaster. More compatible with the park's criteria in more ways than one.

Plenty of folks will be interested to see how RMC's take on steel-railed "wooden" rides pans out over the next few years.

If you paid attention to what they've been doing the last two years they already have the attention of every park in North America willing to drop 8-12 mil on a coaster. I'll also point out that SWP&E might be paying attention to the receptions of Iron Rattler and Outlaw Run.

Reiterating my point. It's always nice to have consensus.

Investing in a major attraction based on fairly recent innovation(s), provided that one cares how well the attraction will perform beyond year one, does indeed require watching some form of said innovation(s) operate elsewhere before taking the plunge. Surely SWPE has done the same and will continue to do so.

Though SWPE was pretty bold about the tech integration in Verbolten.
