The Busch parks were one of the first companies to go to B&M with designs and B&M brought many of their firsts and even innovative designs to the Busch parks (Kumba, Apollo, Griffon/Sheikra to an extent).

Even the likes of Verbolten/Manta and rides like Mach Tower, Antarctica, and Turtle Trek brought new and unique experiences to the States. Not to mention DarKastle is a pretty unique dark ride that isn't found in many places.

The Busch parks will most definitely take risks with new ride designs/concepts if given the chance.

I do like the idea though. It seems to solve all the problems that have been reasons why there hasn't been a woodie yet.

It does appear to address more than one of them.

BGW wouldn't be the first park to build a modern steel ride "posing as" a wooden coaster, but they could be among the earlier movers, having seen that RMC's product truly operates more as a steel ride than a wood ride. An important distinction.

I like the ideas of putting a coaster in the area between England and Ireland. Something along the lines of Outlaw Run. If they build a new hamlet, it will be Greece or Spain. Greece could do an Olympus, Zeus or Poseidon themed rides. Spain would probably have a show based on Monty Python's Spanish Inquisition. Other than that I can think of nothing for a pre-industrial Spain theme. Any other possible hamlets? Not many countries left in Europe that would be interesting.

I believe when it was rumored that Spain would take BBW's place, there was some talk about a "Running of the Bulls" coaster or ride, which is a great idea. Europe is pretty bare after that though.
I've always been a fan of using the space between Ireland and England for a woodie. It's big enough, and that area, though it has very nice foliage, is only seen on the England deck, and across the Killarney bridge.

Kind of steering the conversation in the Gwazi trains thread to this one. About the area between Pompeii, Nessie, and the Rhine, I can definitely see a coaster going there. However, I'm concerned as to where the entrance would go. The kiddie rides in Da Vinci's block off a major portion of that spot (which is really the only open area). I guess you could put it right before it, but that's cutting it pretty close.

I've even got a theme for if the entrance were to go there! Da Vinci was also the inventor of the steam cannon (an invention that launched projectiles using heat and water), so maybe do another launch coaster that gives you the experience of testing the steam cannon? And when it launches, water could spray up in a Top Thrill Dragster with the burning rubber type way. Now that I think about it, launch coasters are not really on the market, but hey, anything's possible, I guess.

If they get rid of Pompeii there's enough room for the station and maintenance bay right there.

There's definitely plenty of room between San Marco and Loch Ness Monster. I may or may not be working on a concept drawing for something amazing.

This is why we could make something called a queue behind Pompeii, and put the station right beside Pompeii instead of getting rid of a whole ride that can be conserved.:)

There's no path to connect it to behind Pompeii though. I wouldn't miss Pompeii at all over a coaster.

I still see them doing a queue next to Da Vinci's. I don't even really know if the balloons or gliders are necessary.

Or just move the balloon ride and the flying thing somewhere else. The rides don't have to stay in DaVinci's garden, it could go somewhere else.

I was thinking the same thing about going underground. With these launch coasrers who needs a large hill for the speed. It could poke it head up in a few spots in the park but be under the parking lot. Going underground will cut down on the noise. Is there a wooden coaster with linear motors? Popping out of the ground and doing a barrel roll would be awesome. It could break records like all of the current coasrers but be built in a big hole dug in the parking lots.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't these rides serve the DaVinci's Gardens theme?

This isn't Roller Coaster Tycoon. It would take the park years to financially recover from a project like that.
