RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

I hope they have a bunch of harry potter esque people running around with bolts on their forehead....

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

Actually, I quite like the idea of seeing Lerderhosen being the "generic" German costume for the team members. It really would add to the theme of the area. But yes, I agree it would probably only work best on rides/shows/attractions that are extremely well-themed. Perhaps submarine suits for Loch Ness Monster ride ops. As cool as that may be, I don't see it happening :(

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

I really hope they don't go down the bowling shirt path. Every country has always been recognized by the uniforms they wear, especially countries like Ireland and Scotland. No bowling shirts!!!

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

um hello...please read through the thread before attempting a post. Thanks! winkie

ie. bowling shirts are coming....

Bowling shirts are coming and they are not all identical. Each country has its own bowling style shirt. So each country can still be known for its shirts, its just the ones they have had for awhile are going bye bye.

At Great Adventure in the 80s, employee's shirts had stripes sewn onto them so they resembled suspenders once the shirt was tucked in; quite clever yet still comfortable. Food for thought, Busch...

Does anyone have a photo of the old skyride attendant shirt? It was a simple thing, but it was a detail that always brought a smile to my face - no specific period or country, but was still evocative of Europe in the past - white cotton, spread collar, sleeves gathered at the shoulder.

Also, any photos of the new shirts now that the park is open?

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

I think the new Ireland shirts aren't bowling, unless they haven't gotten them yet. Right now they are plain green and orange gold shirts.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

And I believe Festa will get changed right before peak season... Plus, I've noticed that they are wearing the old shirts with khakis, not black pants

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

Italy will get theirs in May from what I have been told. Costumes is out of all the old shirts from what a lot if team members are saying. Most only have 1 shirt and can't get anymore till the new ones come in.

Edit: Just saw the new shirts, and they look rad. They are coming sooner than you think.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

Can anyone get a picture of the uniforms in Ireland/potentially new ones in Italy if they've been seen? There are plenty of people on this forum who can't access the park right now because of various reasons, and as an informative forum about Busch Gardens... it would make sense.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

I don't believe either of them are in use yet. I'm sure we'll see pictures when they are.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

So the Plain Green Shirts are not the new ones?

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

The new shirts are there now, and will go effective on April 27th. The new shirts really do look nice. Red with white stipe for Italy except Pompeii and the Kitchen Showroom. Ireland will get green with white stripe except Europe in the air.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

I agree they don't fit the theme that well or are not the right choice for a new shirt but it could be worse. They could be tucked in plain polo shirts, gasp

Uniform problem solved:

For each Country, see the corresponding image. If the people at Busch Gardens aren't dressed like the people in the pictures, they're wrong. The further away from the image the actual uniform is, the more wrong it is.

Now that fits the theme for the park right on the money.

So is this ready to be moved into the news section since it has been confirmed?
