Did the backstage tour with Luke today. Two other people showed up as well. It wasn't that great. You basically snag a seat in the VIP section in the middle of the theater. After the show, you're sent onstage to meet with the cast and get a free photo. The park also gives you a buy package get a photo free voucher as well.

Its not really worth the money since its just a meet and greet/Q&A with the cast. No backstage access whatsoever.

Cast was actually pretty friendly. Didn't really ask about much since the technical side of shows isn't my thing. The stage manager seemed a tad rushed like she had better things to do than show a group of four around.

The description of the tour from BGW site:
MONSTER STOMP ON RIPPER ROW: A BACKSTAGE EXPERIENCE
Get a frighteningly up-close look at Monster Stomp on Ripper Row in this behind-the-screams backstage tour. Get reserved seating for the spookiest show this side of the Thames before meeting the sinister citizens that call Ripper Row home. Then, prove that you lived to tell the tale with one (1) free photo with the cast of Monster Stomp on Ripper Row.
You got exactly what the tour included. Did you not read the description before buying it?;-P

If I hear the word "fun," in another marketing campaign I'm going to blow up. See in the past they didn't have to push it on you in marketing campaigns and pass names, it just was.

The use of the phrase, "Backstage Experience" is leftover from the London Rocks tour. With the London Rocks tour, you were taken backstage and then upstairs to meet the cast in the lounge. However, the lounge is being used for Ripper Row stuff this time of year and so instead you just meet the cast of the stage.

It is a nice experience if you've never stood on a stage designed the way it is. However, with photos costing near $10 each plus vip seats costing $5, $25 isn't really that outrageous of a price, plus you get your pass discount on top of that.

Yes I was livid. They need to remove the word "backstage" we never went "backstage"...just climbed up on the stage. Which was cool and I enjoyed talking with the cast (and staring at the shirtless drummers)...but it was not backstage.

^ I'm sticking with the etymological Greek meanings of the roots of the 19th century word "pornography": pornē: "prostitute" plus graphein: "write" = writing about prostitutes. I've definitely done none of that, so I'm safe for now!

I won this experience with the howl-o-selfie contest. I enjoyed meeting the cast, but I agree that the word backstage was very misdirecting. I kinda remember leaving like "that was it?" I did get an awesome picture with the ripper though, he even got super into character to take it! Love this show!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the opening of the show contains the instrumental music of Living and Let Die, which is actually one of the songs featured in the original version of Monster Stomp. I found that to be a nice little touch.

It starts off as Bring me to Life and then changes into Live and Let Die.

For the most part I really like this show. Especial kudos to the demons who give it their all with the gyrations and lascivious facial expressions.

I find a couple of things so jarring that they mar my enjoyment. The first is the abrupt transition from "Light My Fire" to "Bring Me to Life." Secondly, I hate the part where the two leads 'dance-run' across the floor and then hold each others' arms and swing in a circle. I'm no expert at dance but it seems either poorly executed or badly choreographed; I suspect the latter.

A couple of other things also could be improved. The lead female dancer has a smile on her face throughout most of the show and pre-show when that expression is unwarranted. Also, while I appreciate the red necklace in the Hell scene, please get that prop some elastic in the back so it goes on easier.
