It's true, the female swing(2012 simplicity, Gloria girl) is amazing in this show. I'd say she runs right with the normal lead, maybe a little better in some parts. However, she went above and beyond in the Beat It scene. Her voice was just so strong, and she totally had all the expressions down in the whole show. It was just so awesome. I hope to see her in this again.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the opening of the show contains the instrumental music of Living and Let Die, which is actually one of the songs featured in the original version of Monster Stomp. I found that to be a nice little touch.

Yes yes yes! They use the same few bars throughout the whole show and it makes me very happy. Light My Fire was also sung in the original MS.

This will be unpopular, but...why is the Ripper bulging out of his shirt? Hell, why are his clothes ripped up?

He's not the prostitute here.

I noticed Sunday they had the entire 3rd row reserved (for all shows), does anyone know why this was done or if it's permanent? I know they used to reserve a far back row even with the handicapped seats for the tour/reserved parties, did this take the place of that because if so I'll definitely be paying the $5 for reserved seats this weekend (I hate sitting so far back).

^They did move the Reserved Row up (Ripper Row...ah ah ah!!!) a few weekends ago.  Also, it is worth mentioning that you can sit anywhere you want now when you walk in.  The theater is being run like it used to be.  The only caveat is filling up all seats towards the middle.  So happy I can sit towards the back when I want now.  Yeah!! :)

I probably already know the answer to this, but will we be able to see a full video of this show on this site? Or any site for that matter? Or does it have the same licensing issues as London Rocks? It's a shame that we can see vids of Night Beats and Fiend, but not MSoRR!

I know this is a pointlessly-late observation but, having recently re-listened to my favorite Stephen Sondheim work, "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street", it's sort of obvious that Sondheim's work was something that Gasparich & Company were desperately (and futilely) trying to evoke with "Monster Stomp on Ripper Row", from the setting and tone to the throat-slitting. Sorry, Scott, but Sondheim has you beat by a million miles, not to mention 35 years.

THIS!
There were other nods to Sondheim all over the shows. Hell, fiends used a Sondheim number. I think one of reasons I hate the park shows so much, is that I know what these shows CAN be like.

Something I really loved about this incarnation of Monster Stomp was the outfits so after a little searching I found the design for some of the main ones in the show.

They do a lot of the set design and costume design for SWP&E so you can find some great stuff on there.

yes! These were the posters plastered alllll over the costume dept. last season I mentioned somewhere in a HOS thread.
