There is no concrete poured. On wavy last week they did a story and at the end there was a shot of the reporter in the construction area and there was just a giant dirt hole.

yayy!!!!!!! I luv construction... i seriously watched the webcam for a half an hour every day when intimidator at carowinds was being built. Start (first track) to finish (opening day).... I was addicted to it

Me too....well not quite as much as you my friend, but it was really cool to see it come together so quickly really tells you how much time/preparation is done in advance of any ground breaking.

yeah i luv watching.... but only on rollercoasters. This being BG, I'll make an exception and study Mach Tower's with care!

I'll ride it, but overall, I think it's a waste. KD has a huge drop tower just up the road, and, well, drop towers are pointless, I think. The only way this would have excited me would have been if it was completely enclosed with a great theme like Tower of Terror. Plus, it'll be big and ugly, so your eight year old might be the only one looking forward to it.

I'm excited for the renovation of Oktoberfest. I'll ride the drop tower. No hate over here.

I'm very excited about the drop tower. I honestly think its a great addition to the park and I'm also happy with the way it is. To have had a Tower or Terror type of enclosed ride IMO would have been extremely out of place and when it comes to BGW's flat collection- all of them are pretty simple and sweet in their theming and design. So this drop tower isn't something out of character for BGW.

I am excieted for the views of the park and that it will rotate. I am also wondering what the suprise will be at the top, but its not something that I think BGW absulutly needed. Like everyone said, there is a taller and faster drop tower and hour up the road. The drop tower won't bring anyone to the park.
