Ok now i figured out that what we are getting is probably identical to Acrophobia at Six Flags Over Georgia.... just ours is taller and probably faster going down.... it spins, the seats tilt, same company

However it is being designed by a different company. Intamin designed the stand-up tower at SFOG. Intamin is not designing Mach Tower.

I just hope it blends in to the park well, and doesnt look out of place peaking way above the tree lines.

so when will they start construction??? Im gonna b there 1st day of Christmas town, (which according to everyone her is gonna be a doozy of a day), so does anybody think I'll see any construction beginning?

expect the katapult to be gone and a fence to be up where it was. Dont expect any real work being done, just removal of the old ride. The tower will go in quite fast. A quick foundation and some wiring and it'll be going skyward real fast.

sorta OT, but since you brought it up why is the 1st day of Christmastown going to be a doozie? And It'd be interesting to see some progress pics from the NOV 24th to DEC 31st. However I think the real change will occur after Christmastown is over.

From my experience at other similar events, I'd say the first day will be a doozie because it is opening day for the event, and it is Thanksgiving weekend. Many people are on a mini vacation at that time and are looking for events like these to kick off the Christmas season. I once went to Stone Mountain's Country Christmas the day after Thanksgiving and could barely move in the park because of the crowds.

Well a little construction update:
Walls have been put up around the backside of the swings and continue to the bridge.
Some trees have been taken out along with the old totem poles.
And the old Katapult area is completely destroyed with nothing left there but a giant hole and the que building.
The little snack shack that was there is also gone now.

The queue building is also mostly destroyed (only the frame and the roof remain- the deck is completely gone). If you want a good view of the site ride the swings. They basically put you right over the construction fence. Also, if you don't mind looking dumb, there is a conveniently located hole in the fence that is just the right size for someone's head.
