I imagine Memorial day weekend (give or take a few weeks) would be the opening date, but they could have a soft opening a few weeks prior.

I know that building a drop tower isnt that hard but i mean, they've only got 3 months!

jan, feb, march. I hope I can go around Memorial Day... If and only if the whole attendance swarms mach tower that opening week, then that means less of a wait for the other coasters!

Take in account the time to pour and accurately set the foundation, lay base mounts and pour over those, dry time, then electrical and pneumatics, base, and upward. I think Mid-End February we should start seeing it in the skyline. My timeline is based upon the reviewals of other DT constructions.

From what I could see when I went was they had a lot for rebar to lay. Think of how sturdy that foundation is going to have to be in order to accommodate such an immense single tower. The foundation requires to be different than that of a tall coaster hill since coasters feed off the adjacent supports and are not of a freestanding nature.

The basic schedule that I saw was:
Phase 1:
November 1, 2010 - Jan 1, 2011
Ride foundations and utilities
Building foundations and utilities
Phase 2:
Jan 1, 2011 - March 2011
Entire site inclusive of any accepted alternates
Phase 3:
March 2011 - April 2011
Final ride erection
Building open to guests.
So by this the foundations should be done. They only have one to two months slotted for the actual ride construction. One of the alternates was putting the scrambler in New France. I don't know which alternates were accepted but I would have to think this is one of them.
