I think it's a fairly commonly held belief that AB was far from perfect. I can point to countless blunders and missteps from the AB days (countless). People who loved the park back then actually get on me all the time about being so cynical about things like Pirates 4D, Festa Italia, Griffon, etc. I know, in my case at least, I'm far from an AB loyalist. No matter the company behind it, anyone who put that sign up on Le Scoot would have been harshly admonished by me.
I hold the park to a higher standard that it has ever previously hit. Why? Because I don't think a place like Busch Gardens should stagnate- it must improve. As long as that trajectory is in an upward direction- no matter the starting position of that climb- I'll be out with pom poms cheering the park on (see Kings Dominion). That said, a downward trajectory, again, regardless of its starting position, deserves ridicule and that's what I'll give it.
