I was so sorry to hear it when it happened. This little guy is so cute, and I was looking forward to riding Nessie with him and everyone else. Maybe he could've convinced my baby to ride as well. Maybe next time...Friday Ride Night!!

That picture is beautiful. All by itself, tucked away in the woods. Like Evan said, it looks great with Alpengeist soaring right by it, but I just love the quaint look of the flume in the trees. Something I like a lot there, as opposed to today, is the cement foundation on the hill leading to the water reservoir: it's a plain, brown cement that blends in with the woods. I guess the white and blue scheme seen now is meant to tie in to the mountain/Alps theme with the coaster, but... eh. It's certainly something I can live with. I really do love the look of Alpengeist interacting with that flume.

They onl remove it from the map when they are unsure if it will open or not. It really is a daily call now or was. It will be listed on the Attractions Not Operating board. But I have heard it open during the day and closed during the night.

I'm so glad Le Scoot is getting some major TLC, not really because it needed it, but more because it deserves it.:)

Do we think that it might get a computer replacement sometime in the future? I figured since they're replacing/refurbishing the fiber glass, then they could install the block sensors in the new/refurbished pieces. That way it wouldn't have to be dispatched by a person, that would make it a ton more efficient, and easier to run more loading/un-loading zones. Just thought I would throw that out there.:)

Hey I just realized this but, why would they start replacing the pieces of flume in the middle of the ride where everyone can see. This was the first thing that hit my mind. What if there going to bring back the uphill part if the ride. This is very unlikely though just think about why would they start her and not behind the trees, Just imagine our eyes opening up on opening day when we see the Le Scoot logs going up hill. If the park does this i'll be the happiest person alive!

From the looks of it, this is as far out of public eye as they can get. The sections they started work on are very difficult to see that is from what friends tell me. I think Zach mentions how hard it is to see it as well. You really can't tell unless you know what you're looking for.
