Le Scoot was testing today 3/24/13.

I was there on the 26th and they appeared to be doing more testing. When I went down to investigate however, they let us ride it like it was operating normally. There was nobody else in the line, so I think people assumed it was closed for testing or they just didn't want to go because it was cold.

If meaning is it noticeable different, I honestly can't tell while riding on it. Seems like it works very well, though.
I did think about THE HOBBIT while riding this twice in a row last night. The Dwarves would've been styling if Bilbo could've arranged something like this instead of what Tolkien gave them. I mean, there is a dragon and whatnot just a Hamlet away.

The scarier thing is how rarely incidents happened with those dips, they were only removed because of the stress put on the troughs when the logs bottomed out.

Thanks for that picture. I did all of the welding on the steel walkway under the flume. We also did the walkway after that drop was taken out. We were told at the time that it was because of a safety concern if for some reason the water was turned off and a log was stuck in the bottom of the drop and another log drifted down into the one that was stuck..

Meant to post this a while back.

Don't remember where I originally got it from but it's a pretty superb shot.

What a depressing picture!

That was the best part of the ride.

I don't know if it was just my vehicle, but the seats on Le Scoot appeared to have extra padding added to the rear of each bench when I rode on Friday. I didn't go more than once, so I can't confirm it was on all of them.

Yea they did that so just in case some people don't like sitting on each others lap then they could just sit infront of them without touching the person behind them too much. I noticed that too I went on 3 times and noticed they did it to every ride vehicle.
TRIVIA QUESTION:
Where does the park store the excess logs when they don't need them on a day that it isn't busy?

Under the Queue area just beside where the logs are launched...

Behind the ride. There is an access path that runs from the basin up behind Dark Kastle (where Root of All Evil was) and they are stored backstage when not in use. Though those are the ones that are stored completely out of the way. I am sure they have a small space near the station for placing boats that are not needed for a bit but may be needed later in the day.

I have actually not been in the station and looked around so not sure where it would be. But look around for a crane that goes out over the trough, that is where they are removed and placed in the ride. The short term storage will be near by.

Ding Ding Ding Ding ! We have a Winner!
Yea one day I was waiting for a log, and it was a really slow day. There was only one loading zone operating, so I asked the attendant how many logs they were operating that day, and he said 10. I was shocked because I knew there was more than 10, but I thought they always kept every single one on all the time because they had no where to put the excess ones. So I asked Him where they stored them and he pointed over at the station to your right when you come down the stairs and said "under the line building." So next time you go you can see a little opening on the other side of the station to the right, and that is where they store the excess boats, under the queue building!

Le Scoot was drained and shut down today. A crane was removing what my husband said was a motor for one of its pumps. The crane was gone but the ride was still dry and nonfunctional at the end of the day.
:s That cant be good!

Someone posted a picture to our Facebook page here if you're interested. Not sure exactly what I'm looking at, but something is happening. :p
