Fair enough, just pointing out that it could be a little better, but that does come with the caveat that BGW rarely does the logical thing.

The year is now 2024. Disney has purchased BGW and converted it into EPCOT 2.0: The Epcotening.

We've lost the entirety of Festa Italia, which isn't a real name of a country, but it's been replaced with a Mexico Pavilion. Roman Rapids is now Grand Fiesta Tour, Pantheon is now Donald Duck's Scary Trip to Brazil or something.

The event building has been repurposed as a Future World Pavilion, where Disney brings back Body Wars except it's about Coronavirus vaccines.

Platinum members still don't get preferred parking.

I mean it'd be a stride towards Michael Eisner's wet dream that was Disney's America minus, ya know, the whole America part.

Making your park a year-round-park in a colder climate that any other year-round park in America right after permanently closing your only two indoor rides is an odd choice to say the least, so I believe that it's very plausible that the DarkKastle building will be used for something that they can use in January and February (ride... show... something else... whatever) and I'm totally on-board with the theory that that is a major motivating factor for them with this huge building.

To be fair they didn't have much of a choice with the Pandemic but to shut BFE. Also they were not planning for year round ops previously but saw an opportunity when they saw how well received the limited events were.

There is currently a lot of maintenance and storage in Festhaus Park I have to wonder if part of the purpose for this building is related to this and not entertainment.

Maybe, but then again it depends on if the building is intended for maintenance operations or not. The logs being stored there per the picture would only be temporary otherwise they'd be in the boneyard.

Maybe it’s to clear the storage from Festhaus park so they can build a new rollercoaster there. 🤓

possibly but based on some of what we have seen this year it wouldn't surprise me if going to year round operations has led to them deciding that they need more out of site maintenance space and as you said they would be losing Festhaus Park for that purpose.
