According to kdfanatics75 on instagram, there are changes coming to Grimmwoods this year that can’t be leaked quite yet. Could this be new/more stories?

Yeah, pretty sure there’s going to be new sets and storys. I’ve heard that it’s going to change from a couple sources now, so it’s probably accurate but you never know.

This will be my first season going to Haunt. Is it a separate ticketed event if you have platinum pass?

I totally thought I was in this thread when I commented in the season pass thread yesterday.

Would anyone be interested in planning a small parkfans haunt meetup this season?

That's a good possibility, I was originally thinking it was an actors entrance but i'd imagine the actors enter from the back like in Blackout. Do you think there's two different paths to take through the maze? Maybe like a pick your story kind of thing.
if it’s an anniversary house like i’ve heard people say then that’s a big possibility, it might make people want to go back through twice to see the old stories they might have missed on the other path

I’m unsure about the costumes, but I do know that at the very least, the house used in the Hansel and Gretel section last year was the Skeleton Key room in Feary Tales.

Add that to the already long list of identities that house has had over the years. It’s been the Feary Tales skeleton key room, an elf house during Winterfest, a cottage in the original version of Pumpkin Eater, and now Hansel and Gretel’s house in GrimmWoods. KD has really gotten their money’s worth out of that prop!

I think KD has some of the most detailed Haunt props being used over the last 6-8 years. And yes, a few are re-purposed for more than one special event. With the current detail level and quality, I can see the park getting as much use out of them as they can.

The cost for a set of props for a scare zone is currently in the ten's of thousands of dollars (My guess, $15,000 - $30,000+). From a KD interview, (I can't remember if it was from Steve or from Tony), he stated that a new maze house is now costing between $100,000 and $200,000 to complete.

Visiting the park today, KD has just about all the scare zones setup, with the exception of the new Site X; which it looks as if they're still in the process of setting up.

But on Flat Rock a new dig site has strangely appeared...

That’s definitely for Site X. I’m surprised they put that on Flat Rock though, especially because they are putting a show on that stage and that’s blocking a lot of good seating… unless it’s part of the show.

Wouldn’t surprise me. KD has gotten very creative with Jungle X, so it’s not out of the question.
