I guess this is the wrong time to ask about etiquette on number of videos to post.

BGWFamily, that wagon was called the Killarney Sound Machine, and it was considered an "attraction" when it opened with Ireland in 2001. Here is the only picture I can find through an internet search, with what really looks like simply a different angle of your picture!

Now, I don't remember this very well in person, but from the looks of it (not trying to be snarky), this thing looks sort of tacky, with the bright, crazy colors and whimsical design. Not that that's necessarily bad or anything, but it seems like that would have clashed with the natural beauty the hamlet once had. If they were to add such a thing today--assuming it had never been added originally--it would probably be subject to lots of jokes and complaints among these boards.

That said, that certainly brought loads of immersion to the area, and it definitely beats what we have there now: nothing but a big square of aggregate. :(

Also, I find it interesting that in BGWFamily's photo, the stage the Killarney Village Band is playing on is white and squarish. I must say, I like the new, green, round stage we have today better. I wonder when this change was made?

Also, the back of the wagon had a "blarney stone" to kiss.

Is this one of those "Don't tell Nora" instances? ;)

That wagon actually had a musical puppet inside that did a show. Also, the back of the wagon had a "blarney stone" to kiss.

Photos and video to come if/when I find them. :-/

Didn't the Leprechaun inside actually interacted with guests. Like, you could ask it questions, and it'd actually answer you?

I remember there being a camera right under the puppet, and the puppet calling on specific people by the color of their shirt or shoes.

Somewhere along the lines, a forum member was asking about the insides of some stores, so...

Here is some neat stuff in the Killarney Magic Shop:

The fairies are my favorite things there. Here are some others:

I'll be honest, I kissed the Blarney stone... Not the cleanest thing. Probably explains my gingivitis.

Poor thing. I too have been suffering for many years. Surprised we don't have a research team by now...

^It's been a while since I last saw that particular shot of Dooley (first photo). Am I the only one who found that particular leprechaun to be sort of creepy? He didn't have quite the same charm of Clancey the leprechaun. Naturally, they had to get rid of Clancey in  the gift shop as well. (sigh) However, I found it to be a welcome surprise to find that they kept an old mascot costume of Clancey for St. Patrick's Day. On a side note, when I look at all of those photos of "old Killarney ", I think the only change I really like was the directions signage. The old directions signage looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss book for some reason.

He could be a bit creepy. The times we saw him he was always putting people in the crowd down or making fun of them. Here is a version courtesy of coastercrew. This performer is different than the one we saw.
