It sounds to me as though a lot of you guys are afraid of change. The park can't perpetually stay the way it was a couple years ago; it needs to add new thrills and attractions to keep people returning. Most people I know love Busch, and love seeing the way that it evolves year after year (myself included). You guys need to just lighten up and look at the positive changes coming to Busch...the park doesn't exist just to please you alone.

Anyways, I will hold off judgement until it is all complete. The only complaint I have is the lack of trees, more of those would solve my only qualm with Busch at the moment.

I concur wholeheartedly with your statement. I am not certain as to how old you are but I think the majority of members who are not happy as well as me are in the younger bracket (*<25 years of age). The case for myself and I am sure others is the Busch of the last few years is how we have grown up with it for the most part. The changes happening will yes grow on us as most things with people do. The factor is a big change in our childhood or younger years that we have all been very fond of.

That is just my opinion of it. Busch will of course continue to deliver a world class product to us even if the product and its nature is new to us.

Also keep in mind, generally we tend to look at the past very nostalgically. If you are comparing the park now to "the good old days" of when you were like 10 or 12, it's just never going to live up to that. Regardless of how old you are, when you ask someone when they think the park was at it's "peak" it's probably going to match up to when they were a child (or young teen). We view the world (especially the fun times) much differently at those ages and look back on them with reverence.

Also, am I the only one who saw those terrible looking tent things in Oktoberfest?! They don't fit at all.

Yeah, I did not like thos tents. It looks like thos tents that they sell stuff in at the circus or something.

I'm not afraid of change, it's just been a series of coincidences that a lot of things I love are being replaced by things I hate.

You probably only hate them because they replaced something you liked, and again, maybe the park was thinking about what the majority of its guests would prefer.

It amplifies it but If even if they built the drop tower in Italy or France I'd still hate it... same goes for the theming changes and the design of the 2012 coaster...

It's not about how great the additions will or will not be, it's about the loss of what was already great.

I may need to change my tag line, after this but....

Ireland was a good example of plussing. I miss Hastings, but Ireland is well done and exciting. (this assumes the day glow overlay is gone).

Irelands good days are gone too. There is no more Beer School, Castle O'Sulivan, Corkscrew Hill, and even the Abbeystone Show isn't as good as it used to be.

I miss the beer school, castle o' sullivan, and I preferred corkscrew hill over europe in the air, but celtic fyre is a great fun show. I guess the river dance one was interesting, but it was boring. I am much more entertained with the wedding reception at the irish pub story. Irish bar songs, still some irish step dance, a dance/tap-off, and a little bit of comedy make CF one of the better shows in the park.

I agree about Celtic Fyre. It's one of the best shows I've seen in the Abby Stone. In my opinion, it's one of the few improvements made to the park over the last few years.

To be back on topic, though I do agree with ya'lls arguments on the theming of Le Catapult, the "generic" fence doesn't bather me as much. If fact, I was very surprise on how far ahead the scrambler construction was. I was totally expecting work walls galore over there. and also, I think we should be fortunate that we got the scrambler back so quickly. BG could had done what other parks had done in the past and put there older rides in storage "saying" they would be rebuilt at another location "soon." That is what happened to KD's Apple Turnover (Originally planned Scream Weaver). I'm optimistic that Last weekend was more or less just a rehearsal for the summer. The park won't be in full wing until the opening of Mach tower anyway.

Sounds like it won't be open for awhile anyway. They just stated on Twitter that the beer garden/pretzel shop will be open on April 1st and unknown date on Le Catapulte. I think that's a good sign. Could be alot of theming left to be done?

I thought the pretzel shop was supposed to open tomorrow?!?! :(

I guess we will have to wait another week to try the new shop, I guess it's better for them to take their time, than open soemthing that is not complete.

They did say it would be open tomorow last weekend. Obviously it wont be, but they should not have said that it would open if they had any doubt at all that it wouldn'yt open. Everything is coming later and later with them. I have a feeling Mach Tower will not be finished until late than they expect.
