I am all for a parade making a comeback in France!

It was a crowd-control disaster. Aquitaine is much too narrow for a parade. In fact, I imagine that we'll never see a parade anywhere in the park again.

I personally do not like Voila, it has no real French-ness to it. Ireland always had the fairytales, Oktoberfest had the clock and has the wundermess, and DaVinci's Gardens has the precise and awe of body movements. The Le Parisan Prommenade was the only show in France that had a very French theme. Voila reminds me of peppermint candies with all that red and the red and white outfits.

What the hell is wunderness? A description of how pointless Wunderbarn was?

DaVinci's Gardens has the precise and awe of body movements.

I liked the Italy show, but butterflies and bodybending/Chinese yoyos don't really have much to do with DaVinci or Italy for that matter. I guess you could say the butterflies matched the gardens theme, but that's pretty much it.

I think if they changed some things on Wunderbarn It could be an okay show. However, I don't like Gardino Magico, I know a lot of you may like it, But I really don't. It is a show that has no story outline, and really doesn't appeal at all to kids. They really need to change this show.

In my opinion this is what IllumiNights shows need to be. Most people don't stand around waiting for IllumiNights shows to start, the start while people are in the area and people come to watch. Much like a show in an eatery, it needs to make sense and be appealing regardless of when someone starts watching. Also, I associate IllumiNights with a lofty magical-type atmosphere- something that, in my opinion, Giardino Magico pulls off perfectly. Yes, something could be done to make it more appealing for children, but when there's already two IllumiNights shows that are very much geared towards children, is it really needed?

Just got the greenlight from a source to update the list. Unfortunately, it's with rather awful news. We're down to three shows this year.

Ireland: New Show
Everyone knows The Legend of Killarney will be replaced this year. Nothing new here. With what is the question.

Oktoberfest: Wunderbarn
Wunderbarn will be returning. I imagine they dumped way too much cash into it last year to justify removing it after one season.

San Marco: Giardino Magico
I've heard talk of changes coming to San Marco but it sounds like it's merely an upgraded version of Giardino Magico, not a new show.

France: None
Voila! has been cut from IllumiNights 2013 presumably due to budget constraints within the Entertainment department.

General: Fireworks
Fireworks should continue as they always have. Expect the same basic show that we've had since the beginning.

It was in a kind of weird spot too though. I mean, I usually stood right in front of the bathrooms....

What kind of affect does this have on fireworks?

Entwined is affecting the whole PARK!!!
Now I know entwined isn't the main reason, but it is a pretty big one. I mean I can only imagine how much that set costs.:dodgy:
And I guess that you could blame it a little on TIO, because they had to hire a whole new cast for it. Actually you can't blame TIO, because if Entwined was playing all day then they would have to pay the same price in wage costs.

Other than the new entrance, and the France renovations there is nothing, but Entwined making them eliminate Voila! And the only thing in my opinion that is useful in those renovations is the Entrance, maybe a little bit in France, but not that much. And I have to say I'll be sad to see Voila! Go it was a very good show, but of course Scott would pick that one to get eliminated.:dodgy:

When will Scott's rein of terror ever end??!!??!:p

Hmmm, I wonder what caused these budget cuts exactly. It seems like their getting rid of a lot, so I imagine these cuts were caused by something other than one extremely detailed set. Perhaps someone can't crunch the numbers right?

I feel no sorrow that Voila! has been cut, it was my least favorite show. It had a terrible color scheme, and the acts, though not bad, were not very French. Plus, it was crammed and forced into a corner.

I expect Giardino Magico to follow the same path it has been going, changing ever so slightly yet keeping a similar theme. Actually, the body bending goes with the elegance of a garden as well as one of DaVinci's drawings with the circled body. It has class, and it is hard to find a show that keeps peoples attention with class. See Imaginique.

Also I said WunderMess with an M not N. I used that to describe the terrible forced storyline. I say forced because they obviously picked the most stupid theme they could find. They wanted to keep going with the Black Forest theme since Verbolten opened, and they wanted to incorporate the Chicken Dance. So they had a chicken farm in the Black Forest. Most idiotic setting in the world. A forest is called a forest for a reason. A forest contains a large amount of trees and would not allow for the space of a chicken farm. Furthermore, they forced a lot of jokes into the show just for the sake of it. It is a mess.

I really liked the show in Ireland, it had a solid theme. I hope they continue to have something similar to it, but not screw it up. Out of curiosity, would it be more expensive to create a new show than to just keep the same old one, therefore easing up on the budget?

You know what? Logistically, this will make it easier to navigate the park and catch all of the special events now. Less time pressures on us. I'm OK with it. Now hopefully something really cool will come to Ireland. Personally, I'd like to see .25 water blasters on the roofs and bridges for really throwing water up in the air and creating rainbows.

I'm gonna bet it has something to do with the globe... And maybe a smidgen to do with HOS.

Well, I sure do hope HOS took up a large portion of the budget this year.
