According to the Busch Gardens website they are planning on running Illuminights in 2013.

Correction their are dates set, look in the 2013 operating schedule forum in everything else ..... Illuminights starts July 1st

It's worth noting that IllumiNights is shrinking again this year. Starting the same weekend but ending one earlier. I'm guessing it's to give them a bit more time for Howl-O-Scream setup.

2013 is looking to be a pretty interesting year. Illuminights is shrinking, it will always shrink. Think about it, money for nightly fireworks going to haunted houses instead? Doesn't seem too far-fetched considering Howl-o-Scream is their most successful event, in my opinion clearly.

I think Illuminights is going to get the boot soon, maybe not in 2013, maybe not in 2014, but it is coming. They will replace it with something cheaper if they can find it, so they can fuel Howl-o-Scream with the big money. Build the event up, so they can up charge.

This is interesting news, and I actually expected it to be so. Pieces of the giant box that covered the fairy in Ireland for the Illuminights show were used in creating Open Casket and butchered up for other things, so I expected to see that show worked on, but the whole event getting that kick? Hmm. You know they still have the chicken coops intact. I wonder, perhaps they are going to rework a summer event or perhaps a new summer night time show on the scale of Imaginique? Is it possible the show could make a comeback or they are in the working of creating another copy of it?

I actually enjoy the concept of Illuminights quite a bit.

I would, however, also like to see it replaced with a stand alone night time show, a la Imaginique. FRENCH circus. In France.

Four shows throughout the park they each perform four times a day starting at 5pm every hour except for 7pm so you can have dinner and then fireworks at the end. That is just simply it.

Everyone knows The Legend of Killarney will be replaced this year. Nothing new here. With what is the question.

I assume it's returning?

Oktoberfest: Wunderbarn
Wunderbarn will be returning. I imagine they dumped way too much cash into it last year to justify removing it after one season.

San Marco: Giardino Magico (?)
I've heard talk of changes coming to San Marco but I imagine its show will keep the same name.

I hope they re-write some of the dialog for Wunderbarn. It was the weakest part the show. Personally I prefered the clock. It's about time for a new show in Ireland. I hope Viola returns, the juggler was much more fun than the chair stacking, plus he had a smokin' hot assistant.
