Are you possibly referring to the Vortex at Kings Island which currently uses the bats old station.mwhinva said:What does having a new roof put on the station house have to do with a renovation of the coaster itself?
Seems to me the coaster refurbishment could be anywhere from replacing just the track to a complete tear-down and re-build of the ride done by the park itself or an external source. The station building would be still be used to load and unload riders no matter what is done to the rest of the ride.
I believe the Hurler station roof is supported by beams around its perimeter; no support columns in the middle. The park could reconfigure the inside of the station anyway they wish including the track gauge by widening or narrowing each side of the floor where the existing track goes through currently.
I am not saying this to get anyone to think differently about what will happen with Hurlers refurbishment; but, just to point out that a coaster station getting a new roof does not tie directly to what will happen to the coaster itself. Seems another park, somewhere in the US, used a former coaster station for a brand new style of coaster. The name has slipped my mind for some reason. ;-P

Interesting that article pointed out the dug up dirt near the intimidator, I noticed that while riding but thought it was nothing. Is it really nothing or something. Hmmmm. (Excuse me for getting off topic)Joe said:I'm still thinking Hurler is in for a major re-track. The site Theme Parks & Travels took this image of a massive collection of wood from the Eiffel Tower. It's likely that this wood is going to Hurler.
