Why is bitten under the new haunts selection, could we see a make over?

Where do you see it listed under New Haunts? When I click on new haunts, I get a picture and this description:

"NEW HAUNTS
You never know what new haunts are waiting just below the surface of the park. Check back often to see what we’ve “unearthed.”

Scroll all the way to the bottom for a brief overview of years past. Thanks to RocketChk for the original posting!

Does this early marketing campaign mean they may gloss over Porno Nights this year?  That would be almost as fantastic as animatronic penguins.  (Still not nearly as cool as real penguins, of course.)

They may gloss over the marketing of Porno Nights, but they aren't going to relent on anything else. Permits have already been filed, and it seems like San Murico will be returning once again.

I'm surprised they are releasing info this early.  I hope it's better than last year's theme.
I didn't really care for Thirteen.  ROAE got better each year but I won't terribly miss it.  We are due for a new house.

Actors can make or break a haunted house. In the case of Root of All Evil, they made it.
The maze itself also grew(literally) by the last season. Other than the actors, the tall trees were what gave it that good atmosphere. Remember, even though Bitten has seen very few updates over the years, the actors also were top notch most of the time last year. I have no doubt that Busch Gardens will be able to re-create something with equally as stunning (if not better) landscaping.

The way I see it, entertainment might as well have handed ROAE over to landscaping and said "Here you go. Do what you want". Sure, they worked together with landscaping, but landscaping did the majority of the work. Entertainment just filled in the creepy details afterwards.

Now, we have three nearly dead(no pun intended)mazes. Bitten, Catacombs, and even Deadline have all been Weak. Just for the heck of it, I will also say that Cut Throat Cove was never "all that". The park can definitely spice those mazes up if they try. Deadline is otherwise a solid maze, with the exception of actors. For some reason, the park seems to think that since the maze has such a fantastic set, the actors don't need to do anything special. The same rule applied to Bitten until last year. That proves that the park is capable of getting their actors to go the extra mile.

I don't know if the park plans on changing any of their scare actor policies this year, but that could be the one thing that may save them. Contrary to common belief, the actors are trained just as directly as they are at KD. The problem is that they always cover the basics of safety and professionalism, but they usually run out of time when telling them how to actually scare people.

Last, but not least- the shows. I have heard for a long time now that the park would only have the three shows from last year. I was hoping that they would surprise us all, but I guess not. With the overarching "unearthed" theme, they should have brought "Dig it Up!" back. I expect this to be a good year for the event, but they are going to need a serious reworking next year, due to the lack of new activities. I just hope that the park has more secrets to share with us.

Considering Jurassic World just came out, they probably could have made use of the TRex they have (or had.) I know the show was much more Night at the Museum, but dinos are in right now.

Honestly, thinking about it, I think that they're gonna try and do some dino themed stuff to coat-tail Jurassic World. Either that or aliens.

Also not a fan of leaving the four middle ground houses. They're not good houses, and they're not bad houses. CTC is a beginners house, until like the end of the season when the actors get their heads together and use distractions for scares. Deadline as always is really pretty... but no scares. Bitten is just boring after going through it so many times. And Catacombs should have gone before Root. As I've said many times before, it's falling apart. Unless they're going to replace everything in Catacombs it's really difficult to do a house in a place that's falling apart at the seams. Unless of course the theme cheap carnival haunted house.

And speaking of carnivals. I'm going to be really upset if they don't put Festa back into clown territory. Tempesto's entry way makes it even more of a circus theme, and they are just abandoning it to shoehorn pirates in the very back. Like, please. PLEASE, use the theming to your advantage. It'll make things cheaper.

I am in no way a HOS afficianado but i completely agree with you Applesauce. Now i know i only have my one experience to go off of but when we went through deadline the set was great but there was like NO ONE in there. Now going off of my own personal interests and experiences( i have worked as a volunteer for 15 years in many ways for a haunted house to help the area i lived in.) I can say i know how well a little well placed actor can work. For example i was surprised that the park didnt do more with the wooded areas you walked through, if you get the right actor with the right make up and training just creeping and lurking around guests can do alot. Also a well placed theme can do wonders. I really am excited about "unearthed" maybe we will get to see something new( i know i will at least lol ) :D heres to hoping.
