Am I the only one that thinks they should have put the new diner-themed house in Festa? Transitioning from a 50s roadside stop to Holiday Hills might make the HOS to CT changeover faster and easier. Of course, I still advocate just using Holiday Hills, itself, as the HOS theme. Because: creepy.

The interesting thing would be the seasonal crossover, where they'd be removing the dead bodies, fixing 'broken' lighting, etc. presumably in stages so you'd slowly see the area go from super creepy to mildly sinister...

I can imagine guests may have difficulty getting into the holiday mood when they were just being chased through a maze in the same location screaming bloody murder only a few weeks earlier.

So going back on the concept of recycling houses or themes. I wonder how much is kept and put in storage over the years.

Here is what I have found so far:

Tampa :

The Forgotten ---> Could be props from Bitten, Williamsburg
Death Water Bayou ---> Could be utilizing Werewolf props from Williamsburg

Williamsburg:

Nevermore ---> Could be utilizing Nevermore from Tampa
Kilarney Diner ----> Could be utilizing props from Simons Slaughterhouse (More on this in San Diego) or Meat Market
Witches house ----> Utilizing some props from Death Water Bayou witch theme

Orlando:

Captains Revenge ---> From Black spot Tampa or Cut throat cove concept Williamsburg (Older)
Beneath the Ice ---> Frost Bite , Williamsburg (Thanks Drift)

San Diego:

Death Water Bayou ---> Could be getting new props or could use some from Tampa
Simons Slaughter house ---> Possibly props from Tampa as they have the same name.

I will try to update the list if I get more ideas.

Just now joining the HOS conversation since the lineup was released and I have a lot of thoughts:

1. I’m happy they still have the chainsaw demons walking around the park. I miss the creepier demon makeup from the first few years of Demon Street, but I can’t be too picky. Just happy to have chainsaws!
2. So I’m a little confused on the Party Zones. They aren’t terror-tories, but it seems like there will still be creatures? It says “Party with the clowns ‘till the moon comes down.”
3. Am I only one that doesn’t agree with Dystopia being a “returning favorite.” I never cared for it, because I never felt that it could compete with its predecessor Deadline. I wish they would’ve brought back Cornered or Unearthed instead. OR just maybe, something as far back as 13 or Root of All Evil.
4.No more Vampire Point?? I agree that it’s time for a change, but Vampire Point was one of my favorites. Hopefully this Hexed Hollow is even better, amd as long as they keep Ripper Row I’m happy. Also, very happy that Axe Alley is being replaced. Meat Market is fitting for the hamlet home to Trapper’s Smokehouse.
5. I already miss Night Beats: Revamped. I kinda wish we could’ve just had a Night Beats: Revamped Revamped, but this new interactive show sounds intriguing. Am I correctly interpreting that the audience is voting on which performer does the best job?

Just my general thoughts

Nevermore and the Witch Maze sound like they could be really strong. I really enjoyed Lumberhack but as long as it gets a good replacement I'm good. Killarney Diner sounds like it could be fun but I'm worried about the execution of it.

Meat Market sounds awesome, so glad the stupid Vikings are gone. I'm gonna miss Vampire Point but Hexed Hollow sounds like a great replacement.

Pretty excited for the event, just hope that the staffing is adequate

I guess "returning favorite" sells better than "back even though we had better houses"

I liked Dystopia though but I agree that demented dimensions clearly was better.
My oldest daughter apparently has some kind of phobia for humans fused with machine parts, so this one is truly terrifying for her.

Doubt that's gonna work unless they enforce it.

They are running their kids event during the day, there is no way all kids are out of the park when the real show starts.

And all it takes is 1 screaming kid for them to pull their punches.

So we already know that the haunted house being announced Friday is witch-themed?

We know it is witch themed, we know it is replacing Lumberhack in the woods maze location, and we know it is named Witch of the Woods (pending a rename at the last minute I guess). Read the BGWFans article if you haven't already.

Sorry to double post, but I have another question. There’s a warning on the HOS site that says: “this year’s event contains amplified scares.” Is just the regular parental message, or does this mean this year’s HOS is supposed to be scarier than other years? Crossing my fingers for the latter…

Just a marketing thing.

Looks like they consider 10 years old as the appropriate age for their "amplified" scares.

How in the world are they planning on getting kids with the 10am-5pm tickets out of the park though?
Not like anyone would be able to tell if they paid for the whole day or not without checking tickets all the time.

I did see a FB question that asked about the warning this year. Their reply was yes it was going to be more intense. I cant find it now. Although it is still probably just a marketing thing like Zach stated.

Hey, why get the little kids out when they could just sell the light up necklaces to give a heads up for scare actors to be friendly and not target them?
