I did see a FB question that asked about the warning this year. Their reply was yes it was going to be more intense. I cant find it now. Although it is still probably just a marketing thing like Zach stated.

I've never been to a Howl-O-Scream that the park claimed wasn't "MORE INTENSE THAN EVER BEFORE!!!!"

Ya'll remember the pumpkin ratings? Ridiculous. The rating of each house/zone is directly related to the effort of the staff, not how many chainsaws you have.

Though I love watching the scare actors revving up their chainsaw-like noise makers and scaring the crap out of people, so that's got to be worth at least a pumpkin or bat or whatever they're using.

We know it is witch themed, we know it is replacing Lumberhack in the woods maze location, and we know it is named Witch of the Woods (pending a rename at the last minute I guess). Read the BGWFans article if you haven't already.

It is now confirmed on the site. Witch of the Woods is confirmed. We also will be sharing this house with BGT as this is their last announced house as well. I am not sure when the last time we had the same house was or if ever at the same time?

We also will be sharing this house with BGT as this is their last announced house as well. I am not sure when the last time we had the same house was or if ever at the same time?

Ironically the last witch themed house: Unearthed

Semi-dissapointed that they’ve converted Sideshow Square to a Party Zone. I felt like Sideshow wasn’t the best terrortory but it built the overall theme and created anticipation for Circo Sinistro. Will be interesting to see how this affects the staffing levels inside Circo. I will be less dissapointed if they take the actors from Sideshow and add them into Circo.

That’s always my favorite terrortory. It’s always fun to watch the actors scare people.

I hope this is more like Cursed than Unearthed, which may be an unpopular opinion. Solely based on atmosphere, I liked the outdoor creepiness to the witch thing in Cursed which they will be able to do here. As well as the more conventional approach.

Same but it is the same trailer for Tampa too so

Some of the props and set pieces in Tampa’s trailer look recycled. I would not be surprised if we are sort of getting a conglomerate of Unearthed and Cursed, set in the woods.

Are they making this the headlining house? The theme for the whole event? I thought they were based off of their coming soon description before today's reveal, but the theme of the event is definitely not oriented towards this one house thus far.

I find it funny how both Virginia parks’ headlining mazes for 2021 are witch-related attractions that take place in the woods.

Nothing screams HOS like BGW’s signature grim reaper. Is it just me, or does this statue’s spot change every year? Last year, for Halloween Harvest, I believe it was in Festa Italia. The year before that it was at the entrance to the park near the bridge to the England parking lot. And was this the same reaper that used to be at the line of Catacombs?
