Just saw what appeared to be a fight just outside the park entrance. Lots of police. Guess it’s not just Haunt anymore...

UPDATE: There’s at least 7 police cars here. Some came speeding into England lot extremely fast. I was taking pictures and park security confronted me and told me I had to delete them. Fuck them. Here’s the picture they wanted me to delete.

That's crazy! They must have gotten that resolved quickly (bravo to the JCC officers), because we just left the England parking lot about 10 minutes ago and there was no sign of it.

Most likely completely unrelated, but I saw a seemingly drunk guy being escorted out of the park from Lumberhack around 9pm by a few BG security guards and a couple JCC officers.

They can't do that

Unfortunately it wouldn't be the first time they've tried. I can point to at least five other instances where I, or someone taking photos for me, has been directed to delete photos and, in some cases, even threatened with consequences (explosion expulsion and/or a ban) if they don't comply.

They can ask you to delete. They can't force you to though.

I was thinking to myself "there's no way BGW actually figures out you posted that" but then it made me think...

I wonder how many rats BGW has planted in the forums??

A couple of things -

1. If a security officer tells you to delete, look at his/her collar. Supervisors are Sgt. on up and have designation on their collar. If I'm told to do something I think is contrary and they aren't wearing metal on the collar - "Let's talk with your supervisor" very calmly.

2. On big events, there's a lot of JCC and YC police on site. Many times they'll call for assistance before BGW security even knows. Remember the naked guy in the parking lot? A JCC originated call.

I doubt rats....but I bet there are some team members that lurk that may mention it so someone that might go looking for it. But I doubt they have a team scouring the internet like the mouse does.

It actually wasn’t a security officer but someone who appeared to be a Health Services supervisor (one of BGW’s health services vehicles had pulled up behind the police cars). I asked him if I really had to delete the photo and he said “This is private property so you have to do what I say.”

Obviously, this isn’t how private property works, but I just told him I deleted it and moved on to avoid any further conflict. I sort of regret not pushing back a little bit. What was he actually going to do if I didn’t? Ask me to leave? When I was already in the parking lot past closing and was about to leave anyway? Detain me? Because I’d like to see him attempt that. And of course, my phone is my own private property and he doesn’t have the right to look at it and see that I deleted it (which he did do. He asked to look at my phone and watch me delete it. Fortunately, he didn’t seem to realize that iPhone’s “Recently Deleted” album is a thing.)

Ah, missed opportunities...

I would have uploaded it to Twitter real fast as he watched. Thenswapped to camera abd grabbed a selfie with them before they could move.
