^that and the whole "people are too scared so we're losing money at our gift shops and stuff in festa" excuse are the two main ones I hear from both GP and insiders alike. Like the tootdie roll pop... The world may never know!

If were getting demon Street back can we please either retheme catacombs to a demon nightclub or do a Halloween show in the amphitheatre? Something similar to HHN's Bill and Ted's Halloween Adventure where it's lots of tongue in cheek humor and theme park references? Maybe a Howloscream Icon tryout show where they are holding auditions for new icons hosted by Jack, The Lady of the Gardens, and Scarlett? A la American idol?

I hope the clowns do come back. I miss Grin and Scare it. That along with Unleashed were my favorite scare zones.

Is the Haunted Train suppose to come back this year too?

You know in my opinion an attraction that was hit and miss for most of its existence is not something I would wan't to return and particular now with the park staff being overstretched dealing with the number of houses, territories and shows in operation.

The Haunted Train always comes up, but I really hope it never returns. It requires a very large number of props and actors that would be better used in scare zones and mazes. In addition to that, removing the most effective means of transport from the park is annoying for families and hurts the flow of traffic. We all know traffic is a huge issue during the many nights that the park hits capacity.

You'd just pretty much repeated what I just said with exception the traffic and transportation part.

In addition to the fact that I don't see what a comment like this adds to the discussion, I don't see where Fur Dozy repeated your thoughts at all.

So who thinks some of the original terror torries will get replaced this year?  They're starting to get a tad stale.
I thinkl they will. It seems the park is trying had to get the taste of Glitter errr Scott and Carl out of their mouth.

I'd love for Vampire Point to get the stake, Demon Street to go to hell, and Ports of Skull to walk the plank.

Yeah, I'll show myself out...

But seriously, in my opinion, all three of these zones have been lackluster since their debut in 2013, and should make way for better path scares.

I might be in the minority here, but I think path scares are necessary for a solid Howl-O-Scream event. We've talked about more cost-effective methods before, such as simply dispersing a few actors throughout the park, but for now I think the terror-tories are here to stay. Many of them lack much physical decoration, but I'm sure there's a lot of money invested in them nonetheless.

Two of the terror-tories, Wendigo Woods and Ripper Row, have performed well for me for at least one season, so I am convinced that when the park puts in enough money and effort, the terror-tory concept can be effective.

Although variables like staffing and actor enthusiasm can make these areas shaky at times, both Wendigo Woods and Ripper Row make excellent use of a tense atmosphere and detailed physical sets, which really enhance the scary aura of the event.

While I don't want the event's focus to shift off of new houses entirely, I for one would love to see another terror-tory with the same amount of effort, and therefore the same potential as Ripper Row and Wendigo Woods.

As far as the territories go I am as well in agreement that Ports of Skull needs to be completely gutted, though I would much rather prefer Demon Street and Vampire Point to be renovated than removed.

I felt like Demon Street was amazing at night. Ports of Skull and Vampire Point had absolutely nothing just about. Those are the two that really need an overhaul.

Yes, the amount of actors and how in to it they are make or break an experience. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a guy but most actors ignore me as I pass by even if I'm the only one passing through at that particular moment. In fact, even in Houses it seems they skip over me to go for the cowering girl behind me. Which is bullshit. BULLSHIT I TELL YOU. I'm at the park to have this experience too! I even pretend to be already really scared but that only buys a meager "boo, etc" from an actor.

Getting more actors is one thing, if costly. But what could be done to improve enthusiasm I wonder, especially for actors who are experiencing disenchantment or burn-out?

Girls, you're all pretty, now stop fighting and eat your vegetables!

HoS is supposed to be fun and spooky! Let's not let who said what get in the way of one Busch's best events and the discussion surrounding it!

Not to put to fine a point on it, but It seems to me that Nicole is doing her job, you know moderating...

All the scare zones need an overhaul as they were all kinda lame last year.

Demon was probably the strongest as usual. The others either suffered from short staffing or lack of decent actors.

Looks like there is some work going on at the pirate maze.
