Well, I mean there's a reason why I was asking. I found somebody offended by it. However it was on tumblr, so I take their offended-ness with a grain of salt. (As they are offended by most everything.)

They were offended by it because it reminded them of the Ferguson shooting this past summer. Nevermind the fact that if you replace Wendigo with zombie, you get the same theming. And thought the Wendigo was a caricature of Native Americans.

Well yes it does have it's origins in Native American lore, but they thought the caveman with antlers was a caricature of a Native American person.

Yeah, I've been watching FB to see if anything would be mentioned. Again this came from tumblr so I don't really listen to what they have to say.

He was in Wendigo Woods when the song played. We also figured out via the skyride that they don't play the song everywhere at once. We think the song is on a schedule and he moves from area to area depending on the schedule.

So, I have been thinking about Howl-O-Sex and it's 50 Shades of Blue theme, and I think the park could easily improve the immersion everywhere.

First, how have I deduced the theme, given the very limited marketing? Well, the most obvious place to start is the shows. In Fiends, a blatantly sexual rip-off of Rocky Horror, the Nurses chain the Doctor to the wall, which I am told appears to gratify him in some way. Next, The relationship between the Ripper and the Hooker in Monster Stomp has been described as Servant & Master. It is certainly masochistic to love a man who has killed women like you and probably will kill you too.

But the BDSM images don't end in the theaters. Upon entry you are confronted with a man(?) in a straight jacket banging around a cage. Whom does he serve? To what purpose? Riper Row, while not strictly themed to bondage, certainly has sexual overtones, with its emphasis on prostitution. Once again in WinIndigo Woods, we find a massive beefcake monster behind bars. Who is keeping something with those massive nipples imprisoned?

Unfortunately, I do not think BGW did as much as they could to immerse guests in 50 Shades of Blue. Here are a few easy places to take the theming to the next level.

1. Demon Street. They have already created a party with a Demon DJ in Paris. Why not have succubi cage dancers as well? Dress them in bondage gear, put them in cages with poles, thrown in a few whips and chains, and bam! the park will have the overly-sexual feel they seem to be striving for in this event.

2. Both the Creepy Cursed Cage Guy in the front and the Beefcake Windingo in the Woods are halfway there, but they both need masters. Add a dominatrix at the entrance and have her bark orders at everyone, and you will have a sexy scare everyone can enjoy. Back in WinIndigo Woods, the Tops are already there, but they need some new costumes and scripting. Why are the Drill Sergeants wearing shirts? Show off their abs, and have them treat the monster like the slave he should be.

3. Vampire Point. Unfortunately this Terror-Tory will be the hardest to sex-up, since there is so little theming there to begin with. First they need to add more vampires. Then they need to give them human servants. Throughout vampire literature, humans are employed to serve and protect the monsters, while also providing a willing food source.

I think with these few changes, Howl-O-Sex could be turned up a notch, and made into a fully immersive, BDSM experience.

It should be pointed out that there are guys in France walking around in chains and the demon chicks serving booze kind of have a BDSM thing going as well.

OK I have been through all the houses this year here is my ranking and thoughts.

1)  Root of All Evil.  I liked this one best and was most scared and startled going though this one.  This one is a must see.

2) Bitten liked the the setup on this one and had a few brief startles but not real scare hopefully I just had a bad run.  Also so I think they over did the sand a little.

3)13 I know some are not fond of this one and maybe because it's solely because I had not been in it before but I liked it.

4) Cut Throat Cove I know another one that some are not to fond of but I liked it.  I think it lacks a little without the heads but not much.  Also the only one that really made me feel like I was lost.

5) Catacombs Liked it and it looked good but the fact that I caught sight of the Penguin maze from Christmas Town up on the ceiling kind of killed it for me.  I did like the creatures but after seeing the that I just never got back into it.  How hard would it be to get some ladders and take that down?

6) Dead line It was OK but not really even slightly scary sorry but that really all there is to it.

You can complain all you want about the guy in the cage but he was spectacular. He was crawling on the ground, timing scares perfectly, and brought back memories of the "Footloose" section from Monster Stomp. I saw multiple families enter and then turn right around to leave because of this guy. He really set the tone that this event is not intended for kids. Maybe they should enhance Ripper Row by making it steampunk so they could have chainsaws at the entrance. Now that would set the tone! :)
