RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

I think the passes should include an events option like 1-year and 2-year, perhaps a HOS or CT addition to the pass which would determine the rate of your pass.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

If the park decides not to include HOS they need to make a pass for all of HOS only ($30?). Most people come several times and don't want to pay everytime.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

My suggestion:

Silver pass = Fun Card, Gold pass = current ann pass + CT, Platinum pass = current plat pass + CT. Rework the pricing structures and price them accordingly.

Busch confirmed back in the first pass holder meeting (2010) that they charged for CT because of capacity... as we saw this year, maybe they need to charge more for Fridays! lol

How? All that's left to open is Festa, SSFOF, and DL and those don't hold that many people

You would be surprised how much those areas make a difference during CT. Plus, think of all the close queue lines, if they were able to open more rides or at least create more special CT attractions using the currently closed queue lines. That would really make a difference in capacity.

I do think the only way to solve the issue would be a restructuring of the passes. Like mentioned before, Fun Card, 1-park reg (1 or 2 yr) 2-park reg (1 or 2 yr), Current Plat. and CT.

I also think we may be straying from our HOS topic. This seems to be a discussion meant for the Pass Thread, I think there is one somewhere.

They could expand capacity during HOS by increasing the number of houses, but I think they're pushing parking lot capacities aren't they?

Who cares about parking lot capacity, if its filled, its filled! There is nothing they can do. All they can do is shut down parking, but still allow people to be picked up and dropped off.

I think as far as capacity goes, they need expansion. There is not much room for any other houses without shutting other things down or going through much of the back stage areas.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

what? You could make more room for people in the park by expanding, but you might not be able to park those extra people is what I was getting at.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Expansion can include expanding parking lots, that is why I used the general term expansion and not park expansion or something like that.

They should open Christmastown earlier in the day, then people will be able to do more in the day. More sections and rides should be open too.

They are working on it, I'm sure. They are always trying to add something big each year for CT.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

I'm assuming they don't open more rides so that maintenance can start working on the coaster trains, but I wish they'd keep Griffon and Alpengiest open.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

This thread gets derailed a lot, but back to topic, HOS 12 is going to be very interesting to see if they change things up? Maybe stick with or let go of the dark side of the gardens theme, or decide to go completely kidfriendly or completely scary, or still a bit of both?

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

if last year was any indication, they'll share a new common overall theme with Tampa.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Well yes, it is true. They definitely will become a better more scary event. However, is the dark side returning or another common theme between the parks coming? I think they should use the dark side again, it was such a big hit and that chant was amazing.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

I think the "Dark Side of the Gardens" should return. I thought it was a good theme, and they could go into more depth with it

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

I seriously doubt they will bring it back if they share a theme with Tampa. I don't know the last time Tampa has done the same theme two years in a row.
