Dont let the show fiends stop you from going, you don't have to see the show. BG aren't telling you that you have to see fiends, And all the houses are Great !

While I disagree with you, I really think you're missing out on some great stuff. Despite being "modern", Deadline is one of the best houses I've ever been on. 13 is a great house and only part of it is gore, it's also the only house with that much gore. Fear Fair has some great effects. You're missing some great houses based off girls in some revealing outfits. I know you have this thing about Busch Gardens moving away from tradition what not, but I know you love the park. Do you really want to miss it just because of a few things that don't play a major part in the HoS expirience?

If he doesn't want to go then so be it. One less person to hear complain about it and let someone who wants to enjoy themselves can actually get in. (from the 150+ cars that were bottlenecked when they hit capacity Saturday.)

This may seem like a really dumb question, but is Fear Fair partially (or completely) a 3D house? Reason why I'm asking, is BG uploaded a picture from Fear Fair (Or so the description says) that says "3D Freaky Funhouse". And I remember YEARS ago, they had a 3D clown house.

Ah okay, thank you. I remember for the old 3D clown house they handed out glasses. Maybe they're doing that as well this year but since the crowds were so large they ran out? Dunno.

Some of the comments on the BG Facebook page when they announced they hit capacity were just ridiculous... I'm guessing it's been covered already, haven't read that far back yet.

People complaining they were gonna cancel their season passes, BG needs to fix it (not sure how you do that without making the park bigger), etc..

I can understand if you got stuck in the parking lot or something like that but you gotta know it's a busy time of year, expect it to be crowded I guess.

I'm going down with my neighbors in two weekends, gonna spend Friday and Sunday in the park and find something else to do Saturday night to avoid the worst of the crowds.

Then what's the point of having a section that's referred to as 3D, if you're not gonna buy the glasses? Just seems odd that they would have that section, and call it that, but no way of viewing the section in that format.

Though I'm kinda glad if they don't have glasses, because assuming that they'd use the paper 3D glasses, they wouldn't fit over my glasses anyways.

I can see that being a problem. I hate the ones that Real3D uses in theaters as it is much less the flimsy paper ones and the "bugeyes" for the 3D shows. I actually bought a pair of these for theater viewing.

IIRC the "3D" glasses that were used in Distorted Dimension years back were more of a paper glasses you put on that distorted light to refract it to give the illusion everything was unbalanced.

I can understand the people that were stuck on the ramp just after it bends away from 64. I was stuck from just have the 60 ramp at the top of the hill for 45 minutes before I was able to remotely even move up. As I stated earlier I JUST made it in before the gate was closed. IMO Busch needs to invest in an interstate sign that gives info on whether or not the park is at capacity. It would save a huge headache on their part. The rest of the time it can state the hour or the like.

That is what we are doing this weekend..Friday night will be for Howl-O-Scream, Sunday morning will be for walking around the park and riding rides, and Saturday will be for going to C. Williamsburg during the day and a ghost tour at night. We learned our lesson last year by going on a Sat night and literally not being able to move 2 feet in any direction with out either getting or giving an elbow to the face..:-/

Well enjoy! The ghost walks are amazing in Williamsburg. Looks like the temperatures on Saturday night should be perfect for one. Take plenty of shots and post a trip report!

Sounds like a good idea for Saturday night, any sites or anything I can look up the ghostwalk info on? I found this one - http://theghosttour.com/index.php

::MODEDIT:: Please remove internal quotes ~ScoutN - Thanks, I'll avoid doing that next time.

I am going this weekend. It looks like Saturday...so, I know it is going to be super crowded by six. Any tips for attractions? I have been in the previous years, so I think I will be skipping Bitten to make room for the new houses.

we are doing the Tavern Ghost walk that is put on through Colonial Williamsburg...it was fairly cheap (12.00 per adult) and lasts about an hour or so..they sell out quick, though. When I called, they only had a few slots open for the 9:00 tour, the rest were for 6 and 7..who wants to do a ghost walk in the day light? lol..

im suprised nobody has posted any pictures of the mazes and howl o scream itself lol, besides the few pic we already have.

I will be going this saturday night. And i have read the above tips. My two questions are this. IF i am in the park by noon do you think there will be a problem getting in then? Not that it would be at capacity but do you think roads and parking will be crazy. And secondly is it "safe" to bring a camera bag or are too many people running into you and i would be better off without it?

There will be no issue getting into the park at noon and your camera bag should be fine. There will be crowded areas during the night, but you can avoid being packed in if you avoid Ireland during Jack's show. You might consider getting QQ passes, on Saturday you'll be spending the majority of your time waiting in line otherwise. You might get through three houses without QQ, maybe.
