I totally agree, Joe. However, I do really like this addition in particular, because it really fits the theme of the hamlet it's supposed to be in. I mean the name of these animals are 'Scottish Highland Cattle.' Not only are they authentic to Scotland, but they also match the name of the attraction they are supposed to be expanding.

See, I love The Wild Reserve and all, but I always thought one of the major downfalls of it, is that it contained no animals pertaining to Europe. Also, The Highland Stables contains some animals that can be considered European, but none of them really screamed "I'm Scottish," to me. I think this addition does just that, which is something I've been wanting out of the park for a long time now. I'm very proud of their decision.

I'm just glad they finally found a good purpose for the previous bare and open field beneath the sky ride. Plus the cows look awesome.

I'm with Matthew, this is an excellent decision. Of course, it will take some time getting used to a new smell in Scotland. The horses already made quite a signature smell, so it would be interesting to see what the smell will be now.

As a side note, the main reason why they have not been more exposed to the public already is because they were currently undergoing a 30 day quarantine to ensure they are fully healthy to be bale to expose to other animals and come in close contact with many different people.

Honestly, I loved this idea since the day I mentioned the new back in March. I think these cows have a totally awesome hairstyle. I also think the location is perfect. I highly doubt they will leave an much more noticeable smell than already in that area. I have heard many people make comments about the smells coming from the stables down the hill almost in England. I am certain, the smell will just blend in.

I realize I did say the location was perfect; however, I do have a few concerns. One is how they will adapt to the noise. They not only have to face the train whistle close by, but also the loud sky ride siren when the ride faces issues. I hope they do not mind the noise to much.

Also there is no place to get up close to the fence except for the gate. I have a feeling guests might trample shrubbery trying to get closer to get pictures or view the new cattle.

However, despite those two main issues, I am still very excited and can not wait to see them out in the park.

The shrubbery near the fence isn't really flowers and stuff like that, there are actually hedges there. If you even try to trample those, you will get injured in one way or another. Besides, there's some gaps in between the hedges if people need to get that close to the fence.

That's insulting.  Hipsters stole their look!  

Hopefully when they get big enough we can see them do this. It would make for some great video moments!

I look forward to seeing the Scottish Highland Cattle.  On Sunday we saw the Blackface Sheep grazing under Verbolten.  One of them, I will call Bart was a bit of a daredevil.  While the others enjoyed the green grass on the hill, Bart was down by the water eating tree leaves.  An employee with a shepherd's crook kept an eye on him and eventually talked him back up the hill.  In this image you can just see Bart down in the trees.

The trees don't need any more trimming, there's barely any of them as it stands now.

Let it grow, let it grow, don't trim it back anymore.

Spotted the Scottish Blackface Sheep grazing under Verbolten again.  Water flows down the hill through the rocky channel.  It really is a beautiful spot in the park!

An employee passing by on the bridge mentioned they are all female. Maybe that was true this week, but I umm, think umm Bart was a dude sheep. It might simplify things if the park only had females. We know how well that worked our for Jurassic Park after all. XD

The stable for the Scottish Highland Cattle has been painted. I didn't get a picture sadly, but the colors are tan(yellow), burgundy, and green. I was actually caught off guard by the burgundy and green being mixed, because they're both colors of the old branding and new branding. However, it looks quite nice. I can get a picture Sunday, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.
