I would love to have a cheat sheet for identifying the horses by name, and the parents or siblings of each one. For example:

Dustin: A shorter amount of white on his front right hoof. Almost no white on the inside of his right hoof.

The only good chicken is the one n my plate. (Sorry having bad childhood flashbacks to Connecticut apple orchards and cider making).

New barn/stable being built in that small area just across from MMXX right before the Rhine River trestle for the horses seeing that their old home is making way for the new coaster.

Post from Busch Gardens about the moo cows.

Join us in wishing Thistle, our Scottish Highland Cow, a very happy sixth birthday! She'll be celebrating the best way she knows how; with some of her favorite hay and a back scratch or two ? Catch Thistle hanging out with her best friend Poppy in the Italy pastures from the train during Howl-O-Scream.

They have photo ops and interaction with the clysdales again. But on that note since I just heard a zoo staff member answer that the clysdale was 17-5 hands tall i am officially concerned about the hiring and training standards. For the non horse folks a hand is measured in sets of 4 inches there is NO way one can be 17-5 because that would be 18-1 it's like saying your child is 2 years and 13 months old.

Could they possibly have meant 17.5 hands?

I mean... I know a lot of you probably haven't been in school in a while... but 17-5 is 12.

So this photo has never been shared before but that Gordon one of the first two Clydesdales that the park acquired after the Budweiser ones left. An eagle eyed observer will note that it was NOT taken at Busch. There is a reason for that this photo was taken before they were at the park. You see the park purchased them a few months before the Budweiser ones were leaving and needed a place to put them and zoo staffer had her horse boarded at the same place that I had mine and helped the park work out a deal for them to be kept there short term till everything was in place for them to come to the park. The picture has never been shared outside of a few close friends do to part of the agreement being that it would be kept quite to avoid it looking like they were indorsing the farm and being used for advertising purposes but since the owners have since gotten out of the business and the park staff member involved moved on a long time ago I see no harm in sharing it at this point. Believe me these are some special animals.

Caught these pictures tonight. A great example of the loving care that these animals get and their relationship with their trainers.
