So FoF for the early session, whatever areas for the rest of the park for the evening session?

They definitely can't JUST open Forest of Fun, because you couldn't social distance that many people within that space.

Perhaps the solution here, presuming that they're opening select parts of Germany/Italy for this event (which is of course not a guarantee), is to shut down Festa during the 11-3pm session and run Forest of Fun instead. As I said in the Concepts thread talking about future events, this would require some messaging shifts (you'd obviously have some parents/family members frustrated that they wouldn't be able to enjoy Apollo's during the daytime session, for example), but I do think that creating a balance of sorts would be the way to go.

The other question is whether they believe that you can socially distance getting into and standing in line for the Forest of Fun attractions.

My guess is there won’t be any actors/houses and will mainly be decorations.

Definitely no Houses. Some part of me thinks they could pull of "Sesame Characters on the Train during the Day Session, Scare Actors on the Train during the Night Session" in addition to decorations, though, but it all depends on where demand is for these events by then.

I could see this happening if they are able to afford bringing some additional employees back as scare-actors/costume characters but as long as the 1000 people only stays in place I can’t see them bringing back any actors and if they did they might have to make the same employees that are costume characters in the day be scare-actors at night.

Yeah, that was sort of what I was imagining: create a couple of spots on the train route where there's some distanced interaction with Sesame characters and freaky folks during the different windows.

I think they're going to have to make a call about whether or not they can afford to offer fewer rides being open but having one or more "scare zones" with some kind of scare actor experience. Gonna be a balancing act of what people are interested in.

Yeah, honestly I’d sacrifice a few rides to get a good Halloween event

Fun Fact: I cried the whole time at Coasters & Craft Brews. As soon as I heard those all too familiar Handel tunes emitting from the forest, my fists clenched and the tears of pure anger just poured from my face. I audibly screamed in anguish as I walked around the park looking at open attractions, wishing they were closed.

In all seriousness, I could see the park just keep the HOS name solely because it’s a recognize product. However, this year is going to be radically different and I could see the park scheme up some new name.

In my perfect world, the park would have heavily themed “zones” and the train would be operating as a halloween attraction. However, from a financial perspective it may not be feasible. The train already requires a lot of people to staff during the regular season, now add employees to pulse the queue outside of InvadR, have someone with a sign out front, and possibly socially distanced scare actors along the route. Also, while the park could move some of the props that are normally in houses or on the pathways, I’m not sure if they even have enough in shape to stand out in the elements for a month, just to be packed up against. Combine all these factors with the supposed 1,000 person limit and it’s just not a viable option to operate from a budgetary standpoint alone. The inner fan in me really wants this to be the triumphant return of one of my favorite HOS attractions, but this may not be the year. Prove me wrong BGW, the ball is in your court.

come on plz bgw just one year of the train plz man it’s been like fourteen years come on throw us a bone

In my opinion it needs to be branded differently specifically because of things like this:
When people hear Howl-O-Scream is open, they expect Howl-O-Scream. Managing expectations is everything here.

I don't see the train in use only because they'd be more or less unveiling Pantheon in a less than complete state.

Of course, for the level of ignorance or plain not knowing, I'm sure people will mistake it for another attraction - 'I didn't know they were tearing down (insert ride name here)!'

I think train could be set up to minimize views of Pantheon by using the CT lights walls. Those walls could be decorated with Halloween lights or static displays. The train would be a one-way round trip with every other row seated and run after dark. The complication would be the queue at Caribou Station. It would co-mingle with Invadr.

To be fair, if the park had opened like intended, chances are that would happen anyway with Pantheon. So it really doesn't make a difference.

The issue comes in if they could run the train while construction was still happening at all.

Unfortunately with that area being construction, and having to move animals around, that leg of the route would prolly be pretty bare to begin with if they were to run the train for a modified HoS. :/
