Finally got to see this show in person tonight. Thought it was a great if not greater than last year. Was really excited to see "Simplicity" from Fiends 2012 back again. Love her voice. So many wonderful performers in this show. I particularly love hearing Gabe sing. I could really feel the emotion in the words. Plus, the company was wonderful!!

Hi all. First time poster.
Saw Gloria Saturday night. Gabe's singing is something special.

Did I spot a BGW alumni in the "On Broadway" clip? Was that the former Festhaus singer /dancer as one of the male leads?

Hi there Bgwtheoldcountry (nice name ) I wish I could answer your question. I am sure someone will know.

I was just thinking that clip reminded me of the show "Hat's off to Hollywood" and "That's Entertainment" that used to be at BGW in years past.

I saw Gloria again today and I am very impressed. All the shows played very well this evening. Big kudos to the folks in Miracles for performing so well in the freezing cold!

Going back to Gloria and the topic about having a list of the performers like you would say anywhere besides a theme park... that is something I have wished BGW would have done for years.

Anytime you go into a Broadway show or even a local theatrical production, this info is freely given. For one, this is a stepping stone for many artists and I think that allowing them to connect to their audience is a good way for them to gain momentum to their next level.

At least the Abbey Stone has the photos/names of all of the performers and the characters they are playing posted. It ads prestige and class. I wish all the theaters at BGW had this.

That monofilament projection-screen is different this year; the mesh is bigger and more visible, however the stage-fog doesn't come thru the bottom.

I thought something was different. Seeing the mesh was bothering me a few times.

This is a great shot Zachary.

Thanks!

Still editing my way through my over 200 Gloria! shots from this weekend. Here's some of my favorites thus far:

Beautiful pictures. I would like to take a moment to thank you Zachary, Gunsmith, Todd F, CK, BGW Family, lterrell, for going above and beyond to make sure everything is captured for fans of the park.

Sometimes people cannot make it out to see Busch Gardens. Sometimes, people want to look back and hear or see something they loved.

For all those who try to do this unselfishly for the benefit of the fans amazes me. Thanks to everyone I mentioned above and to all of you who contribute to the preservation of park history!

I just wanted to say that I saw this show tonight and it is dramatically different from previous years as far as the imagery and its usage goes. I felt like they did an outstanding job mixing the imagery with the performers. Definitely go check out this show if you can. It is probably the only show that has really noticeably changed this year.

The projections were identical to last year from what I could tell...

Gloria: A PowerPoint Presentation back in 2011 was dramatically improved by the update to Glora! 2.0 in 2012 but I haven't noticed many differences since 2.0. I may have to watch 2012 and 2013 side-by-side now...

Nope, I'm sorry, maybe I just didn't remember last years show but you are totally right, they are the same. I guess I was just really blown away :p

Saw the show for the first time this year. The acting seems better than last year IMO. Something about the way they used the moving floors better or something. Last year, the moving floors seemed kinda out of place. Let's not forget the amazing actors as well.

The crappy power point imagery HAS to go though. It really only works well in one song number. I actually liked the show without all the ugly projections (the show experienced technical difficulties so the projections were out for the first few minutes of the show. That made it a lot better). If they placed more emphasis on a detailed stage like Celtic Fyre or props like Fiends, it would be that much stronger.

Still an amazing show with amazing actors and a really nice score. I plan to see Deck the Halls and Miracles later in the season. I'm hoping they've held up just as good as Gloria has.

Here's some pictures of the show I took. I thought the show was excellent and enjoyed it very much except where the background images turned basically into a power point presentation.
