I saw the show for the first time last night. I really enjoyed it! What really impressed me was at the end when the technical staff came out and took a bow as well. They deserve to get some credit too (this coming from a props person back in my high school days).

Saw Gloria! for the first time yesterday afternoon, then again last night! What a wonderful show! Vocalists and instrumentalists are amazing. Love, love, love it.

First wave of Gloria! pictures are up on BGWFans' Facebook page, here. I have a ton more waiting to be edited and rendered as well. There's a good chance that a lot of what you see there right now will be replaced with better versions of similar shots later down the line as I'm fairly certain many of my more recent pictures have turned out much better (those are all from opening day I believe). To give you an idea of how much work I have ahead of me, there's 25 pictures in the Facebook album right now. I have well over 400 Gloria! pictures imported into Lightroom thus far and, to make things worse, any pictures I even consider posting are edited by hand one-by-one. Yay perfectionism!

Watching the show yesterday, a guy behind me remarked how it would be funny if the "vampire strippers" came out just to mess with everybody. He made me laugh. And during the whole show that's all I could think of. Still enjoyed the show, even if I imagined a Fiends character popping out during each sequence.

EDIT: I make fun but I really do enjoy seeing him in Gloria. He has an amazing voice and such a wonderful smile.

We saw Gloria on the 13th, very moving. I had goosebumps on some of the songs. At the end I was the only one that was standing up and clapping. I found that quite odd as they were so good.

Go figure.......

Hi everyone. First time poster. I've seen Gloria four times this season, and I think that it is fantastic this year! It has always been a good show, but this year's cast is something special. I particularly love hearing Katie, Gabe, and the African American lady with the blue cloak (I don't know her name) sing. I hope they stay in BG for the summer season!

The lovely lady who sings "Because a child was born" is Dwan. I agree she is dynamite !!

Okay...thanks! I remember that she had a unique name, but for the life of me I couldn't remember what it was. That high note that Dwan hits in Do You Hear What I Hear always impresses me!

Dwan gets a lot of (well deserved) praise but I'd like to recognize this lady as well:

She was filling in for Dwan at one of the showings I saw a week or two ago and, though I don't know her name or which (if any) roles she has held in the past, I think she's absolutely magnificent. To be completely honest, I'd have a hard time telling you which of them I prefer singing that part.

Yea I saw her too. She was great, but I'm going to have to disagree, I believe Dwan is better than her. She's still great, and I wouldn't mind her singing at all, but Dwan has a lot more practice with that song, and a better voice.

That girl was also in for another lead this Monday, and even though she was good, she did not have the practice that the normal girl did. Like for example towards the end of the show she was supposed to hit a high note, but instead of singing the note, she more of screamed it and it was painfully loud. She is a great singer, but the normal people who sing are more experienced with the songs, and she is more prone to mistakes as she does not practice as much. And in the 2 times I've seen her substitute, she has made a couple, not too much, but a couple.

I'm sorry I had to disagree with you, it's just my opinion.

I kind of agree with Matthew...both of them are really good, but I think Dwan is a bit better because she's had more practice with the role. This is random, but does anyone know the first AND last names of the Gloria performers? I love to look them up to see what else they've done, but it's hard to do with only a first name.

Just going to put this out there: Anyone who picked a final show last night that wasn't Gloria! made a massive mistake. That was the single greatest performance of any show I've ever seen at the park. Gabe did things with his voice last night that I didn't even know were possible.

I know! It was a great show, each performer added a great little touch to each of their performances(some better than others)! We sat right next to a friend of the first of the 3 Kings, and he said he was so surprised with what he did with his voice. Overall it was an amazing showing, I really hope someone out there video taped it.

I kept quiet about it till now because I wanted to watch it before I committed to posting it but I'm here to tell you that I'm currently editing just that, the pièce de résistance of Christmas Town 2013 videos, the final showing of Gloria. It's incredible.
