 Everyone's interest in a train station (Bahnhof) is amazing. How many would support a German-style railstation/model train and hobby store, with an outdoor garden railway attraction around it??

Went to the park today. I rode the train from Festa to Caribou this afternoon around 1 p.m. and as soon as we got off the trestle the engineer who was driving the train spoke about the Verbolten construction site and was giving details about the ride to passengers. Right after that he mentioned that the park was proposing a train station for that location as well.

I heard that as well.

sweet... btw, it's not the engineer that talks to the train, but the conductor in the back... just sayin... and i have never heard of them mentioning about the station though... although i will ask that to my source in bg about that... but I wouldn't be surprised if this is just another bg smokin out the moles like last time... but if it's true, that would be awesome

ktmdavid229 and I were talking in the BGWFans chat room about the site overview I posted to the Verbolten thread tonight and he noticed that the zoning line went out of the frame at the bottom close to the train tracks. I looked through the plans a bit more and found [REDACTED]. Notice the lack of the second Drachen Fire building (maintenance building, right?) and the rectangle area that looks suspiciously like it should have a building in it- a new train station? I think yes.

^Interesting.

I think you're onto something there!

Speaking of train, did anyone who went last weekend hear the conductors speak about a new station there while riding from Festa to Caribou?

Actually Swift I'm going to have to completely disagree with you. First that spot is way off the path of the track right now. 2nd, at that location it would be pointless since it is so far away from anything. 3rd, if the maintenance building was going down it would have happened months ago. And 4th, the only reason the maintenance building isn't in the plans is because the entire structure is outside of the plans.

1. This may actually be correct. Honestly I don't know all that much about the area. I thought that was about where the train ran though...
2. That's the only area that people have really even talked about. For the time being at least could it be a seasonal station? Remember, that's where the stakes were as well.
4. Is it really that far from the station?

The spot where the kink is at is the same pathway that leads into the Graveyard (where all the old rides are leftover for those who missed a crazy stunt over the summer). It's a rounded corner by that pathway/roadway but by all means it's a bit too far away from everything else.

Go to google maps and search "Drachen Fire, Busch Gardens" (Look at point B) and enable satellite to get a nice view of where the station can go. If you want my two cents I think it's going to go a bit further ahead of where Swift said it would, right behind the main station of Drachen Fire (Not the maintenance building). This connects it to an already made pathway and it isn't too far out of the way from Festhaus and the rest of Germany.

Wow, you guys are right. I never realized how much the train tracks curve out around the maintenance building. Looking at the satellite images and the plans though it would seem that the maintenance building should be shown. Also, it's worth mentioning that the maintenance building's doors were open all day last Friday- something I haven't seen before.

Maybe they are using the maintenance building to store construction supplies that they do not want out in the elements. With the constant work on Verbolten, that could explain the maintenance building being open.

Nor did I realize it went out that far. But looking at the Google Maps image, they could level out the grade better and take out that little curve all at once. It would also put the tracks up against that existing road/path.

It would also be a perfect spot to access the existing paths left over from Drachen Fire. I'm thinking that's the plan here.

Edit: Added a quick and dirty from paint showing what i'm referring too.

One more edit: Anyone know why they made that curve to begin with? Just seems a little odd. My best guess would be the incline...

It will not go strait through there. The curve IS to assist with the incline. Green struggles as it is on the curve. There is no way it would make it on a strait.

Don't forget the park has said they are going to build a "more permanent" stage area back there for concerts.

I realized today that the reason there is not a Germany train station is that Oktoberfest doesn't open til 11 on regular days, so the train would have to not stop there between 10 and 11... Thoughts?
