Well building a station that directly connects to Festhaus would be neat, but having all those people walk through a meal/show building would be really, really bad for the experience. Maybe have them walk up the side of the building or something...

He said Festhaus Park, not just the Festhaus. The Festhaus park is that empty spot where DrachenFire used to be.

2013 - Oktoberfest Revamp: Phase 3 - Rumor - (1/18/11) So far many of the old redevelopment rumors concerning a multi-phase build up / renovation have been coming true, though instead of building a new “country” they seem focused on rebuilding the park’s existing Oktoberfest section. We’ll see the first phase open in 2011 with Mach Tower, followed by the new coaster in 2012. It seems there is a third phase set for 2013 and according to the latest rumors it may be focused on revamping the Festhaus.

I know, I was just thinking about moving it forward a couple hundred feet to save the strain of have the trains start rolling on an upward incline. It might save some maintenance in the long run, but I don't know how much strain a train can take before it breaks.

and by empty spot...do you mean where Verbolten is being constructed? lol....not much room for anything now
 
Drachen Fire was right behind where BBW stood, there's a pad of land about the size of a football field sitting in between the railroad and where Verbolten will be. Not to mention everything needed to run a coaster (minus the coaster) is still in that pad of the land.

We had name confirmation? I must have missed that.

Project 2012 is on BBW land plus quite a bit more.
 
I know about the space, but It is currently taken up by a rebar staging area and dirt mounds....I can see them using the land behind the brown fence...that could be feasible...I don;t think they will even think of starting that till the amphitheater and verbolten are completed.

No real confirmation yet, but the promo material around Oktoberfest features a shield with a lightning bolt on it...

Assuming that it's pretty much guaranteed because of a sticker is going a pretty long way....
 
Well, Verbolten was one of the names they floated around and one of the logos they're putting up has a lightning bolt on it. I think Verbolten or something similar is probably going to be the name.

Also I didn't say it was guaranteed. I was just trying to let Scout know why people are calling the 2012 coaster Verbolten now.
 
Back on topic I am heading to the park today-Sunday. Going to chat with the engineers to see if this is actually a prospect and try to find out anything else (like a possible 4th train). I have four days to do this and if my hotel has internet I can give Semi-live news updates. If they don't I can always use my Droid <3.

I wonder when we will get the train station. Do you think it could be Project 2013, or do you think it will come with the coaster.
