I did notice they planted a lot of shrubbery along Verbolten's service road. Is that new or have I just now noticed it?
 
I was going to say that I noticed that too Matthew. On a adjoining note to that idea, they need to add some shrubbery and trees behind Autobahn...while standing in the queue line..the inside portion of Verbolten is standing there like a big ugly metal building...maybe some fur or cedar trees would be nice..something to obscure the view a bit. I have been saying forever that another train stop should be added along the railway..in Oktoberfest...I think for older guests ( and people with young children) who are interested in going to Das Festhaus to eat or view the show, would use this quite a bit...because, I noticed that taking my aunt this past month; it was a bit much to navigate her through the Midway area and walking from Festa all the way through San Marco and across the bridge, was troublesome much for her. I know that not many people regard the older guests who visit the park, but, I think that both the railway and Skyway, are two amazing features of BGW, that really attract and service this demographic, unlike other theme parks. Also, it allows them to have some sort of ride experience. We wanted to take my grandmother to King's Dominion this past weekend, but, it was just too much for her to walk, and trying to navigate a wheelchair or scooter can be a b*tch!

Welcome to the club, sir! I concur, one of the things that gives Busch Gardens a huge advantage is all the wonderful transportation options they have.
 
I agree! Even though BGW has great transportation options adding another train station in germany (IMO) would add to the overall experience. As well as open the park up more for some people who might have trouble tranversing the park other wise. Win win IMO

This might be an uninformed question, but if there's no Germany station because the train can't get going up the incline out of the station, can they switch to going the opposite direction? (I'm trying to think of any inclines going the opposite way.)

I brought up the same question 10 or so pages ago. Basically, we have no clue if there's a grade that would be a problem the other way. So, possible? Maybe.
 
There's a chance it could also have something to do with visibility around turns approaching crossings. For instance, coming out of the Heatherdowns station, the railroad crossing next to LNM would follow what is essentially a blind turn for a train heading that direction.

The entirely of New France's station would likely require a radical redesign too. The water tower, maintenance areas, maintenance track, etc would all require extensive reconfiguration I'd imagine.

Theoretically though wouldn’t the only change have to be an update to the wiring for the gates that are across paths? Most the stations have a wide bearth for visibility.

Really the question here, and admittedly a big full year project (aka no trains) would be to level off at Germany and create a grade from Germany to France that the train can handle. If not stopping service, it would be an almost 2-3 year project for a bypass, work on original rails, and maybe remove former rails.

So the answer for Italy-Germany-Italy transport is easy: Gondalas at 300 feet.
