While some changes are not good (removing the flavor of Europe/flags from the entrance gates, for example) I don't understand all the negativity for everything they do. It's like the park can't make any changes without it being criticized. Some changes are actually good.
I think the renovations in Aquitaine are an improvement. They've taken a corner of the hamlet that has held only carnival-type stands in recent years (selling crazy hats, face painting, etc.) and replaced it with something classier (an arbor, seating area, and some very classy doors where tackiness used to reign). I think this raises the area to a level of attractiveness like around Grogan's Pub. I assume there will be some vines growing on the arbor, and it will look lovely. It's much better than carnival hats, trinkets, and face painting.
