Thanks for the picture ChickenKing!

The metal wires look really bad, but everything else looks great.

It's just how the picture is taken. They're much more subtle in person. After the grapes start growing up them, they'll look fantastic.

Yeah, they NEED the wires to guide the growing vines to stay upwards rather than spread out all over the place. That's the green thumb in me talking. :)

Not yet. I talked to a team member and they were hoping to have it running in May closer to the food & wine festival. I mentioned that they really need to start earlier so that it is a "well oiled machine" by the time lines begin to form.

Hoopla, the grape vines need to establish first. They are there to form a shape. By the time (maybe a few years) they reach the top, they will look gorgeous.

Here is an example of how grapes can be a beautiful aspect of landscaping!

Thanks Nora. I didn't know what was going on the wires so that is mosly what influenced my saying. Thank you for the clarification.

I'm going to pick mine from as high up as possible. I wonder if they are using wine grapes. Those usually are going to be smaller, with seeds and have less water in them.

I seriously doubt the grapes will be allowed to be picked off the vine. I would guess the real grapes would be removed before guests arrived. Last thing anyone needs is kids eating grapes that haven't been washed and climbing up trellises. (Because you know parents would let them do it).

Also, I'm hoping a local vinyard actually produces an official "Busch Gardens" labeled wine to be sold in the park. That would be a must purchase item for me.

Exactly...maybe (I hope) they're expanding the wine tasting thing they have in Italy over to France where it TRULY belongs.....That will be Legen....wait for it...DARY!!

Time for new stuff...

Originally I thought this booth was for Food & Wine but on second examination, I don't think it is. Maybe it's being used to sell concert merchandise? Regardless of what it's meant for, right now it's being used as a bench by some pesky kids.

I , too, believe that stand will be used to sell concert merchandise. In all the years they've held concerts in RPT, they've always used the area under the awning where the new wooden doors are now located. SInce, it is now an entrance/emergency exit from the building, they have to have somewhere else to sell the merchandise.

At first glace, I thought the little bar thing would be used for that, but then I saw the mini-fridge (I don't know what it actually is) and thought otherwise.

Out with the angel and in with the plywood? No clue what the plan for this thing is, but it's sorta odd at the moment.
It does kinda look like a little stage. We were talking last night about posing on it like the angel and demon. Just need to figure a way to get a spear in the park. Any takers?

I read a blog the other day ( don't remember where) that said one of the F&WF stands would be a permanent stand, I think that is the "bar" in France.

Nice, especially with the sign in the background stating show performers only. Perhaps this is where they will have cooking demonstrations?

It could be grape stomping as well. It is a good location for a stage as there is a large space for a viewing area without blocking traffic.

I did take the wine tasting in Germany and I thought it was well executed. The Le Belle shop wine tasting is looking to be beginning closer to the actual food & wine festival date.
