Meanwhile, the guy infront of me was only buying a soda (who buys a soda at a F&W booth?) He asks the guy in front if he can go first. Guy in front looks at him like he's crazy. The cashier is still working with the cocktail issue at this point so the guy ducked the rope and walked off with the soda.
When we were in that area, lines everywhere were long. As far as Trappers, ive been told before when trying to just get a drink that I still had to wait in the long lines if you try to go through the front entrance. Bottled sodas are easy to find in the gift shops, fountain drinks not so much. While this is true @WDWRLD we were standing at the Brazil booth. There's literally 5 places to get a drink within 50-100 feet of there. (Trappers, three Rivers gifts, griffon gifts and two of the shops in the Northwoods trader area have drinks.)
And the places visible to me didn't have crazy lines.
The lanyard this year isn't much of a deal. The break even has very few things priced above it. We've always used it for beer and wine, but those sizes are now so small they aren't a good deal. I found that out after buying a 10. The beer went from 12oz to 8oz and wine is down to 3oz. Still allows you to try more, but I don't like getting taken advantage of. The bangers were fantastic though.
The beer size actually varies. Many booths have two sizes; a sampler size (8 oz) and a full size (12 oz). They both count the same on the lanyard. But unless you ask, the cashier will almost always ring up the 8oz.
I got the IPA from Jamaica (highest rated beer in the FW menu) and got a full to the brim 12.
I'd caution everyone to remember that your saving decrease, if you are a pass member. We have created a spreadsheet that calculates the actual savings with each lanyard compared to the listed price and the discounted member price:

You certainly got lucky as the cashier is definitely not supposed to give you a 12 ozThe beer size actually varies. Many booths have two sizes; a sampler size (8 oz) and a full size (12 oz). They both count the same on the lanyard. But unless you ask, the cashier will almost always ring up the 8oz.

To your first point, the lanyard can be shared among as many or few people as you care, they'll just punch it for each sample you get.New here. I did read through the whole thread but have 2 questions I did not see answered:
1 - Can I buy one Sampler punch card and share it with several people? (There are 6 adults going and I'm thinking of getting a 15 Sampler just to use for beer/wine. Will there be any issues with ordering 3 or 4 beer/wine at the same time and using just the one card if all the adults are present there in line?)
2 - I see some comments about the park running out of Sampler lanyards. I was planning to just buy the Sampler online when I buy our tickets this weekend. How does that work? Do I get a voucher that I then exchange for a lanyard in the park? What happens if I pay for the Sampler online tomorrow but when I go to the park in late June they don't have a lanyard?
Thanks for any help you can offer to get me straightened out.
