Welcome to the Forum! And thanks for the great questions.
  1. You absolutely can share a single lanyard among several people. We have done that before, ourselves.
  2. As long as everyone who is drinking is there when you order, you should be able to use the sampler for everyone at once.
  3. When I overheard the couple in front of us being told that they had sold out for the day, they were also told that they could buy it on-line and just use that barcode.

I also think that when people heard they were sold out they might not have meant across the whole park and really just meant at the one kiosk. I'm sure that more will be printed.

+1. There is no way in heck that they enter one of the busiest weekends of the year without a large stock of F&W lanyards.

Actually, according to the staff member, they were completely out for the day. He said that they underestimated how many they needed last Saturday (it was incredibly busy), and didn’t produce enough. He also said he had checked and they were out across the event.

My impression was that they were printing them daily.

I have no way to verify his claim, but he seemed to be a manager.

If they are printing them daily, I don't see how by the afternoon they didn't realize they were getting low and couldn't print more. I could whip up something quick using simple programs and just put a barcode on it. I understand its not professional looking but I'm sure I wouldn't mind if it was that or nothing at all.

An excellent write up as usual. I was surprised by some of the winners as they were items that I had avoided due to their lower rating in previous years.

I guess that just highlights the inconsistency that comes into play.. but it also gives me some new ideas for things to try on my next visit.

Certain items are much more difficult to reproduce consistently well than others. Fritters are one of these items. Dough consistency, oil temperature, cook time, and time to serve are all major variables. If a fritter sits for 15 minutes before serving it matters a lot more than say the lamb slider meat.

Having been to several Epcot festivals, I am unwilling to give them a pass. They should be picking dishes that can be produced well and consistently.

Additionally, everything at the event over the years has been inconsistent.

Yes. I agree. But if you always play it safe with selections the fritters that won best in show would never have been attempted. The problem is this weekend may be a different product altogether. Epcot does a good job at picking dishes that they can consistently produce well.

You said that was about 2pm right? We bought both samplers in Hawaii about 6pm and the Cuba booth had a box full around 7pm. Not sure if they were the 10 or 15 though.

Anyone else having problems purchasing the food and beverage sampler experience? I dont see it on the website.

BGWFans PSA: Do not drink the bubble tea today. It tasted like soap and the bobas were completely different (beige, not pink).

They had a "Temporarily Unavailable" sign under the bubble tea listing, when we walked up, but removed it when we asked. My guess is that they ran out of ingredients and got temporary replacements.
