I did not get a chance to ride Flight of Fear last night, on preview night; as every time the kids and I walked by, it was closed.
But going back again today (Saturday), I took a few photos of the new lighting for the alien tubes in the station itself, and it is very cool indeed:
Unfortunately I did not get a recording of the audio. But there are two separate tracks: One just before you board the train, and another when you disembark.

I personally would hate if they did an aliens in the jungle type thing, but understand it's the most likely option from a budget standpoint. My dream is a full retheme of the exterior, queue, and station to a cursed temple. The name could still work. I love the idea of KI and KD having two clones that share a name with entirely different themes.
Like I said, though, aliens in the jungle is most likely what we'll see. I have faith in them to make it somewhat work.

Did they add a new boarding spiel too? In the full video from Novak I can hear a voice saying "welcome to-" just before the footage cuts to the arcade.

If you go back in time on this thread, you'll see that there was some track replacement the other year ago. I'm guessing it's related to that.

Am I missing something? Is this meant to be a teaser for changes to it? It just seems like a standard ride promotion, which they post like every week on their IG

It has no mention of the name Flight of Fear in it, also the #ParanormalActivity could mean something. So I think this could possibly be a future retheme, maybe in time for the 50th
It's a reference to the current building and theme.

If there was a retheme, i doubt it would be in time for the 50th, since they're doing the new coaster, plus a likely p-305 retheme. If they threw that one in too, it would be kind of an unheard of amount of change - especially given the ho-hum treatment of KI's 50th.
Please don’t retheme arguably the best themed coaster in VA. They should enhance the theming outside the building but I don’t see them making any major changes to the theme itself.
With some of the TLC they already did to FOF just this past off-season, I would really be surprised to see them overhaul the theme in any way. I don't see more than maybe just some additional improvements to tie it into Jungle X a bit better.
