I think people make fun of it because it's a giant basketball game in a prominent location at a theme park.

Wonder if the benches are just a temporary thing while they figure out another use for the space
The festa bridge is going to get similar refurb. BGW filed permits for it the other week.
I know this is probably just a F&B reno, but I can envision all sorts of uses for this structure—retail, member lounge, special event space, etc. My dream would certainly be to see another flat ride take up residence in there, but given the parks currently stacked addition lineup, that seems very unlikely.
