The huns weren't a race or a shorthand for a race of people, they were an invading warrior clan and their invasions did spread into the roman empire.

This has always sorta been my understanding (though @belsaas may know more than I do). Even if this is the case though, the name still feels wrong to me. Whack-A-[Group of People] seems like bad branding no matter the context.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one wondering this.

Like, I sorta assumed I was getting eye rolls because some people believe climate change is a hoax or something and I guess anyone who cares about animals choaking on discarded balloons is some sort of bleeding heart, woke liberal?

But even that explanation doesn't make a ton of sense because I'm not really even advocating for environmental consciousness in that post—I'm advocating for consistency between the park's messaging and their actions—it's more a point about hypocrisy than grandstanding about harmful waste.
I had assumed the same thing - that there was some sort of political bias at play (another negative consequence of the eye-roll emoji - it leaves people to possibly incorrectly assume what was meant and potentially foster more ill will rather than just coming out and stating the problem).

But the reason I asked the question was because like you said, there was nothing political about your post. And if the eye rolls were political in nature it’s unfortunate. I doubt any of us as human beings want to see wildlife choking on discarded plastic and other materials, and solutions like paper straws, materials other than balloons in games, etc. are great.

I’m not politically dogmatic about anything because it really does stifle problem solving. And if I’m making an incorrect assumption that political dogma (regardless of which “side” that dogma is on), I would be interested in correcting my assumption and also learning the thoughts of the eye rollers, for purposes of an actual discussion.

Or get new, better ones. Those barely provided any shade to begin with.

Maybe covering a train station out in direct sunlight with some sheets of fabric is just a bad idea. What if some like large construction project happens nearby sometime soon? Then they could justify building an actual shelter structure over the station while they're modifying the surrounding area, yeah?

Oh wait...

Can’t they just air condition the whole park? According to mom wisdom you can air condition a whole neighborhood by leaving just one door open, so I can’t imagine this would be a difficult prospect.

They just need to leave a few more doors open in the Festhaus, it's always fucking freezing in there.

The problem with Festa station is that it sits in what amounts to a gully. You go down the ramps to the station and the berm is on the other side so it makes hard to get a good breeze at the station unless the wind is coming from the right direction.

Why do you think they took out the OG Festhaus stage in 2012? It was always apart of the ten year plan to convert Das Festhaus into the worlds largest indoor ice rink at a theme park to compete with Winterfest.

"World's largest indoor ice rink at a theme park" sounds like the same kind of record as "Fastest multi-launch launch coaster in North America" :p
