Disney isnt my thing...lacks the thrills i enjoy at a theme park..it has amazing technology(such as soarin) and when any park tries to match it it ends up as a piece of crap

I'm a huge Disney fan, but BG has different strengths and should play to those. This ride ain't Soarin'. It won't be Soarin'.

Do something different.

This. Sadly, I feel some of these Eisteins here are going to attempt to duplicate more than just Soarin'.

Disney has plenty of thrills but they are scattered over several parks. As someone who usually stay on-site at Disney 3/4 times a year I will be the first to say that others can achieve Disney level theme and quality. Ever heard of The Boy Who Lived? Case closed. All in the means provided and disposable capital at hand. Either way this is not the thread to discuss other's and how they can or cannot duplicate a DIS attraction.

What i mean is that eita is a failure to copy soarin, but lets get back on topic. I for one believe ethier 2012 or 2013 will be eita's final year. Im not sure what will replace it. Anything will be an improvement. Maybe corkscrew hill returns? Eita is simpley an attraction that has failed...this happens to all parks. bgw just needs to accept that and move on by making a new atttraction there. I havent been in ireland since hos, so it is a dead zone for me with eita there.

NO, we do NOT need Corkscrew back. It is pathetic enough that there is over recycled shows being run in England. I can understand a nostalgia week of running an old show but to return an old show is flat out sorry.

What would you prefer 1 season of corkscrew while bgw plans out something new or have eita there

Have EitA. Recycling items presents a worse image of the park than a failed attraction. See major parks who have done that.

Busch Gardens itself has done that (i.e. Pirates 4D).

Pirates, Haunts of the Olde Country, Haunted Lighthouse. They have all made returns and it looks poor. Management needs a shuffle, ideads are there but the people with ideas are not in the correct positions.

I've ridden Europe In the Air three times this week, and I'm hoping to get on it again one more time today. I'm still amazed at the disdain for this ride around here. I thoroughly enjoy it...I just wish they'd change out the audio of the air traffic control. It's too distracting from the ride and the music. Or at least make the air traffic control segments shorter and clearer. Otherwise, EitA is among my most favorite attractions in the park (along with Celtic Fyre, Escape From Pompei, Roman Rapids, and the Railroad). I look forward to riding it again today and taking away good memories of EitA and the entire park as I end my vacation here.

Your on vacation, so I doubt your a local. That being said, EitA seems like a good attraction to you because you've never seen it before. Now for me, it's different. I'm a local in the Hampton Roads area and i've lived here all my life. Ever since I was about 5 years old my parents got season passes to BG every year. Now I'm in college and I get myself a season pass every summer. The first time i rode EitA, I thought it was pretty neat. The second time I thought it was ok. The third time I realized that it's only good the first time you ride it and it barely fits into the European theme. The only way it fits is because it simulates flying over parts Europe. If you went to BG 10+ times a year like me and several of the people here, I doubt you'd still think EitA is a good ride.
Actually, I'm not a local, but I've traveled 700 miles to visit BGW every year for the past 20 years. We usually visit BGW and WCUSA for 4-5 days. I've experienced Questor, that King Arthur thing (I forgot the proper name), Corkscrew Hill, and now Europe In the Air. I've also experienced Soarin and Soarin Over California at both Epcot and California Adventure.

I've ridden EitA several times each year and four times this week. I'm a tourist, yes, but I'm hardly an infrequent visitor or a first time visitor. I just simply disagree with most of you. I understand and accept the theme of leaving a castle in a magical sled and touring Europe in a few minutes, so I don't have a problem with the queue or the setup of the ride's theme. I don't find the movement of the ride unsettling, but some of the lateral shaking is unnecessary though not uncomfortable. The clarity of the picture is not perfect, but it's ok. I like the score, and I wish the voiceover was not added or had been done differently so as not to distract from the score and the experience. The ride does not make me feel nauseous, and I find the simulated experience rather enjoyable. As for not having a strong story or emotional attachment like Corkscrew Hill, I disagree here also. It's not a story with a strong plot, but it's a strong theme and setting that gives me a sense of excitement much like Soarin Over California. I find it to be a less elaborate version of Soarin , but not as strongly inferior as you guys do.

I may be alone on this board, but my family enjoys the ride and feels as I do, and, on two of my rides this week, the general public applauded with enthusiasm at the end of the ride, so I don't feel alone outside of this board. The queue was never long, but the ride was always full or nearly full. That was the same situation on most of the coasters except for Verbolton, so I'm not sure that speaks for its popularity. I could say that Apollo's Chariot, Griffen, or Alpengeist are not popular because we almost were able to walk on most of the time this week.

I'm happy that it's the last attraction I experienced last night before ending my stay and watching the fireworks again. It's ok for others here to disagree with me, but I'm satisfied with my feelings for EitA.

I think a flight of fear type coaster should go here. Europe in the air is the stupidest thing I've ever seen

nothing is really wrong with the mechanical part of the ride. It has a lame story now and nausea inducing motion programmed in. Another corkscrew hill like ride would be welcomed.

The the eita building is way too small for an indoor coaster flight of fears building is bigger than you think. The biggest thing EITA,s building is ever gonna hold is another simulater or a small dark ride

Eita's simulater system is anchaint and whatever replaces EITA will have an updated simulater system

When was FoF brought up in this thread?

Don't rule out a dark ride / roller coaster that goes in and out of the building. Gerstlauer is famous for pulling that card and still making compact roller coasters.
