Ok, so a coaster which is a major attraction and MUCH more expensive than eita(i would love to see the budget for that ride) only operated for six years. A simulater like eita could definetly only last for 3 years

I would also like to point out that replacing EitA with another motion sim is as easy as getting another company to make a movie and re-theme the queue. That's it. A good three minute movie isn't going to cost the park millions. Considering just how much the motion part changes, it seems to be programed independent from the movie itself. The motion hardware itself is reliable and they have new projectors.

I think that a good motion sim replacement would be a great and cheap follow up for Verbolten. That being said, I totes want a UFO sim.

Shame the hamlet isn't Hastings anymore. They could totally get away with UFOs and Stonehenge.

Yeah it would've been so much easier to get away with UFOs if Hastings was still around. Still possible with Ireland, though!

This may be a joke...not entirely sure...I suggested something like this not too long ago, and received sharp criticism....

Anyway, I agree with PZP...it should be easy (and cheap) enough to replace EitA with something good. The UFO thing is probably not the direction I would go, but still, something should be done about this awful "tour".

[split] Escape From Pompeii

I've ridden Europe In the Air three times this week, and I'm hoping to get on it again one more time today. I'm still amazed at the disdain for this ride around here. I thoroughly enjoy it...I just wish they'd change out the audio of the air traffic control. It's too distracting from the ride and the music. Or at least make the air traffic control segments shorter and clearer. Otherwise, EitA is among my most favorite attractions in the park (along with Celtic Fyre, Escape From Pompei, Roman Rapids, and the Railroad). I look forward to riding it again today and taking away good memories of EitA and the entire park as I end my vacation here.

Your on vacation, so I doubt your a local. That being said, EitA seems like a good attraction to you because you've never seen it before. Now for me, it's different. I'm a local in the Hampton Roads area and i've lived here all my life. Ever since I was about 5 years old my parents got season passes to BG every year. Now I'm in college and I get myself a season pass every summer. The first time i rode EitA, I thought it was pretty neat. The second time I thought it was ok. The third time I realized that it's only good the first time you ride it and it barely fits into the European theme. The only way it fits is because it simulates flying over parts Europe. If you went to BG 10+ times a year like me and several of the people here, I doubt you'd still think EitA is a good ride.

Everything about it is a knock off from the failed score, transitions, filming at 40fps and playing it at 80fps, movement is junk, unfitting queue, everything about it should have been an abortion. Great idea, BEYOND failed exectution.

Good idea for disney because they have the money and creativity to make it exciting. Bgw on the other hands cut corners and made the worst ride i have ever been on!! Dont try to be disney busch, it wont work out.

Every theme park out there is trying to be Disney.
