My son is really bummed about the loss of EiTA. As I reported earlier in the season, he just hit that coveted purple wrist band, and that was one of the 'big boy rides' he just got to experience, and oh man was he pumped. With the loss of this ride, that's one less thing he gets to do. And especially with the one/two punch of Pirates and EiTA this season, he's not taking it well.

The sign outside now says "preparing for Howl-O-Scream"

They may have just decided to use the sign they already had for HOS rather then creating a new one for the rest of the season. It would sure save Money.:p

The Irish looking lad who works Ireland says the are building a house in there now

See this whole thing about budget shortages and sales were all blown out of proportion. All this was just so they could build a better 13: Your Numbers Up! :D

What if they just replace it with a haunted house attraction all year long? Some kind of spooky Irish caves or something*. Doesn't USH do something like this?

*I'll take full responsibility if they do this. I'm sorry.

It didn't close for Howl-O-Scream setup- that I can tell you with 100% certainty.

Complete clarification this was meant Tongue firmly planted in cheek. :)

Not sure what to make of the entrance looking like that. Kinda Messy. You think the sign would be enough.

I just got thinking... EitA & the Globe is closed.. Mach Tower is down 60% of the time (it seems), Celtic Dine is no more and thus the Castle O' Sullivan building is a wasted space (with just Elmo to hold the fort), and with the ops cutbacks making the lines longer..

I wonder how many "tourists," who are here on their first trip to BGW, are questioning why so many attractions are closed. I wonder how this will effect the overall "return visits" to out of town guests. Hopefully they are not upset by so many inconveniences.

That's kinda how you board up your house when a tornado is coming.

Yeah, I suppose that is what it reminded me of.
