Oh!! I was wondering why an employee dressed in a EITA uniform was checking harnesses at LNM, maybe he's getting transferred there.

They have always done this. It doesn't really point to anything about transferring.

For the record, I'm not ignoring anyone here, I simply don't have time to debate anything at the moment. I'm leaving for the park at 4 and between now and then I have to get some real work done and get all my stuff prepped for reporting on IllumiNights tonight. I was up extremely late last night gathering info and writing the story, woke up first thing this morning to finish up the details and work with ChickenKing to get everything confirmed, and since I've been trying to keep the site stable while doing my best to keep up with the discussion here. It's been fun, but I'm out of time. Later everyone.

New map:

Will try and get a much better PDF later.

It's interesting to note that Europe in the Air is still present on the map. Now, I know that these were printed off weeks (maybe months?) ago; BUT, is that an indicator saying that EitA's closure was just very recently decided?

P.S. I only post this here because I don't know how to quote things in other threads. I'm still kind of new.

MOD EDIT: Moved and added quote to your post.

Well here is something to think about: the weather this year has been crappy. The majority of spring break was cold and rainy with one day the park being closed due to snow. So the park took a hit on attendance I imagine. They also took a hit on attendance during the food and wine festival due to the tropical storm and being closed. And if you think about the weather in general this year it has been literally a wash which must have an impact on attendance figures which will hurt the bottom line. And for the first time in its history, the park is a publicly traded company standing on its own...it was under the AB umbrella for years, but now SeaWorld has to answer to its own stockholders and its majority stockholder Blackstone, who one day will want to sell the rest of its stock and get the biggest return on its investment, so yeah, they want to cut costs. Maybe Europe in the Air was a big cost that didn't have that much return, so close it two months earlier than normally planned.

I think it should be noted that this isn't the park literally not having enough money to run it but them making the decision to not run it because it can save money. It's a business decision. But that can't be said for some other things like Zach said.

Haha, that's like starting a fire and instead of trying to contain it, saying "eff it" and running away.
Really? I feel like they're just trying to put the fire out before it spreads and causes more damage. To think just yesterday 99% of us wanted to set EitA on fire...

"Here's a big piece of news we promoted and definitely probably exaggerated about to get you guys talking with as few details as possible and now that you're all riled up like we wanted I gotta go!" Sigh.

But seriously, lol at "Yesterday 99% of us wanted to set EitA on fire."

I really dont see the need to point fingers here.... Sure most of us wanted EITA gone, and I dont think anyone is complaining that it is. The reason for the ruckus is for the reason WHY it is going away. Is it really that hard to grasp? It's not just a single source reporting troubles about, so there is plenty of concrete information coming from a lot of directions. Obviously, names can't be thrown around. So you believe or you dont.
