Again, can't disagree - but what happens if a guest does it?

Could a guest recording violate the license terms, and would either the park or the licensing organization (composer or whomever owns the rights) go after said guest?

It happens almost daily in YouTube. It depends on the copyright holder and how aggressive they are. Basically, YouTube simply deletes the violator's post if the owner complains. I've even had a few deleted over the years..mostly music beds in videos. They send an email of the complaint, that they're deleting the post and avenues of recourse if you think they're wrong.

Now, if they tried to sell it...that's a whole new can of worms.

Not sure. The land it sits on could house a compact coaster, maybe a raptor, but not much else. My guess is that it will be removed by the end of the 2022 season.

Given that folks here said Intamin folks looked at it and did some work to it within the last year, I'd give it at least another 5 pending any further catastrophe.

One thing to think about is that it's one of three wet rides that are all aging - if they were to remove any of them, would we be looking at new wet ride replacements or a transition to be a completely dry park?

I would love to see Intamin do an updated river raft ride here. That along with Pantheon would really improve that area of the park.

It's also a claim to fame for the park and very beloved.

Unless you have hard evidence I find it hard to actually believe it's going anywhere soon.

It would be easier for the park to tear the entire ride down and start from scratch. Just like Silver Dollar City is doing for 2020

Loch Ness is going to be one of the last arrow coasters removed period. You can tell that the park cares about that ride and wants it to continue operation for as long as possible.

Pompeii is an icon for BGW at this point. Not everything needs to be removed for a coaster, tou could upgrade the ride and all of the effects inside the building with modern stuff and simply improve on a classic.

Effects could certainly be upgraded at this point. They could, but wouldn't, extend the theme onto the lift by enclosing it.
