After 2 years I have to ask questions like "is the part made of pure semiconductors mixed with pure cobalt and enriched uranium?" it really doesn't make any sense. Maybe KDs maintenance team is struggling to figure it out? At this point I don't think keeping the ride is worth it when they can use that space for something more significant.

Unfortunately doing anything other than let it sit SBNO costs something. And since it seems much if not all their capex budget for attractions for the next year or two, as far as I can tell anyways, is slated to go towards the wing, I-305 (yeah, it's P-305, but I doubt many returning guests will refer to it as such for awhile given I still hear R75 referred to as Rebel Yell), and JX I'm guessing it's unlikely we'll see much happen here unless they fix it and reopen.

The silence from the park on this (and the Eiffel Tower) is really what bothers me. I at least want to hear that they’re working on or at least thinking about fixing it, but they’ve said nothing.
You did get the memo that they are now Six Flags right? You have to adjust your expectations

I feel pretty confident you can fit a ride the size of hangtime in that space. I mean regardless end of the day anything is better than a dead frisbee.

You sure can... and Hangtime itself is a genuinely perfect fit. Like, unfairly perfect. Would create some unbelievable sightlines in CAG, especially with that lighting package.

Could you yes but should you? It's my belief that doing so would likely lead to significant tree loss and ruin the center path also spoiling Blue Ridge Tollway's vibe so my vote would be don't try to squeeze it in there.

How do you figure? Based on @CoasterMac ‘s mockup it looks like it would basically fit perfectly into the existing grassy clearing around Delirium. Looks like the only trees that would need to be removed would be the small ones they’ve planted sporadically to the left of Delirium.

Plus, let’s not forget that Shockwave took up basically that same exact footprint, so it’s not like having a coaster there is unheard of or would ruin the vibe near Blue Ridge Tollway.

I'm not an expert on construction or installation clearances or anything, but it appears that for an exact clone of Hangtime to go there, there would be very minimal tree removal/trimming needed (orange X's being the cutline). Certainly nothing encroaching on Tollway, or even on the central path really:

Another option could be to shift the first element slightly more towards Drop Zone, to truly avoid going near the central pathway.

Cranes would need to get to the backside for construction, not to mention electrical that would likely need to happen, then there would be county setbacks for emergency services that would impact how many trees go.

Just because the footprint fits doesn’t mean the impact of construction is limited to that. Especially once you get terraforming impacts too.

Absolutely wild. This thing might actually open this year?

Honestly seeing it resume operation is more than fine for me I just hope they make the ride cycle longer. The Zamperla discoveries are never ending.
