You know I wouldn't mind the floors painted blue as long as it is with another color other than white.

From an email today regarding Nessie's 40th anniversary.
"Guest 21+ can enjoy 2 beers for only $.40 each visit June 6 - August 12 at Das Festhaus."
Is this for real?
Sorry, I genuinely wasn't trying to bring negative energy to the forums. I was under the impression from the posts I read on this site that there was a love/hate relationship with the park... distaste for the new direction of the company and its policies and decisions. I thought my behavior would be positive, like, "stoney's back at it sticking it to the man!" Like a champion of Busch Garden's past ways celebrating how cheaper and less complicated the park was in the past. Bringing that same energy to the table and getting my moneys worth.1. Since you seemed to have missed several hints... the fact that you are illegally high in a family theme park is not an interesting addition to your stories.
2. Recommendations for how to cheat the system and effectively attempt to steal from the park are not useful contributions to our Forum.
Speaking of Das Festhaus and the Beir Garden....anyone else (of age) disappointed with the selection this year? I can say I personally very much am. As a fan of lagers, stouts, and (standard) ales; they have had way too many IPA's, hoppy wheat brews, and the like.
In addition to that I do wish they could come up with a really nice outdoor spot for us to sit.
I also wish they would do a system like RVA Draft Room:

You link a credit card to the pour card. So the idea is you can try as little or up to a pint of any of the selections so that if you don't like it you didn't get a full glass of something you didn't like! You get charged by the ounce, so the park can still really make money on this. And at taphouses with this system it cuts you off every 24 oz (2 pints) where you have to check in so they can make sure you aren't over drinking.
We were there Sunday. While no one got ill, I have to agree the offerings bordered on terrible and highly overpriced for what you received. I'm not expecting gourmet, but a turkey (5 oz at best) and cheese (1 thin slice) "sub" sandwich served on a stale roll isn't worth the money they charged. Even my favorite carrot cake was on the stale side. Festhaus is not the Besthaus to eat.We went Friday and ate dinner at Das Festhaus. The food was horrible!!! It had been a few years since we ate there and the food quality has gone WAY downhill. It took several doses of Imodium to finally get my stomach right. I had the German sampler and she had the Festhaus sampler and we both got ill. Will not eat there again!!
